Very outdated pretty much everything, interior design, quality etc. Restaurant menu very average with very minimum option. Customer service is worse, staff should get trained in Thailand, except couple of staff very attentive. Cleanliness is worse, carpet is full with hair, and common toilet in the main lobby is filthy.

Great rooms, great restaurant and great service! The hotel is above Central Station, so if you come by taxi or train it's very easy to access. It's 3 minutes walking distance to the shops and 5-10 to great restaurants, or 15 if you want to travel to South Bank

Accommodation for my wife [ disabled ] & self, 24& 25Apr22 [ ANZAC Day ]. Booking made Mar22 - room with walk-in shower ]. Arrived 2:30pm, but room with walk-in shower not available until 04:40pm. Had to wait in the foyer for 2+ hours. Hanna, on the desk, tried her utmost to make our wait more pleasant & solve the problem. On check-out, 26Apr22, was an overcharge of $39.00 for breakfast [ we had two breakfasts but were advised by breakfast check-in employee that we were entitled to one free breakfast ]. On check-out, I noticed the mistake & had to advise the desk check-out gentleman of the mistake. Account was adjusted. Thank you for the free parking for two nights - much appreciated. Also for the free parking for our daughter on ANZAC Day who had to care for my wife as I was marching on ANZAC Day. We always stay for two nights for ANZAC Day. Room was of excellent standard, comfortable. Alcohol drinks, very expensive.

Arrived at the hotel just after 2 pm to check in as I was attending an awards ceremony being held there. Was told my room was ready and they would contact me once it was. At 4.30 I returned to the hotel to enquire if the room was ready to be told it was and see that my luggage was still sitting in the front lobby on the trolley where I had placed it 2 and a half hours earlier. Was not up to the typical level of service and was very disappointing experience

Loved this accomodation for a variety of reasons, location was perfect with the station located below the hotel, a nice little pub in the same facility, moving around Brisbane was super easy. The staff in all areas of the hotel were fabulous, we could not fault them, the young gentleman at the front desk in the restaurant made a point of personalising our visit every time by remembering our name and room number, as a platinum member the lounge was great with a view of the sunset in the evening, the staff were amazing, I could not fault the service in all areas, we will definately be back, would not consider anywhere else at this time.

I stayed here for two nights mainly for work. The hotel accommodated me to bring a guest up to the club lounge for a meeting which was much appreciated. The breakfast is impressive and a high level of cleanliness which can often fall away towards the end of service at other hotels. Pool and deck is relaxing, though you can be close to other guests and since you are surrounded by office towers, can feel there's an audience! Concierge was helpful and everyone I met was friendly and professional. My only gripe was check-in. It wasn't quite the 'welcome back!' I've had in other Accor hotels given my membership but was functional. The special requests weren't met and that's OK, but I think it would be nice to at least acknowledge them? Eg. 'I see you requested x but unfortunately we don't have it'. Why bother asking, to then not even acknowledge? It's OK if it can't be met but to not even acknowledge? I feel that's a let down.

Service was lacking, facilities fantastic

We booked the rooms 6-8 weeks in advance and on arrival our booking was mixed up again (3-4 times, this keeps happening), the hotel was meant to call the day before but failed to do so. The concierge was rude when we were packing our car telling us to move when I had only just pulled the car up. Not only that on check in, service failed to consider my elderly parents and their needs, saying the hotel was booked out that evening. On a positive note, the breakfast was phenomenal and the rooms were very comfortable and well cared for. If only the service matched the quality of the facilities.

Excellent location would highly recommend visitors from Melbourne staying at this hotel. Staff and services were excellent the only thing is that we were not offered a breakfast with accommodation. Beds were comfortable and all staff were welcoming and friendly.

Pre-Easter Escape

A most enjoyable stay at Sofitel Brisbane for a pre-Easter stay. Check in on arrival was simple and our room immediately available On entering our room we found it fresh and well presented and ready for our stay.  The room and subsequent servicing were a credit to the housekeeping team. Breakfast in Suzette was always a great start to the day, whilst afternoon were spent relaxing in Club Millésime . All members of the team were well presented, polite and ready to assist. Overall we had a most enjoyable stay. Many thanks to all concerned.

Have stayed her many times over the last 32 years and it was again a wonderful night away with an upgrade to luxury room. Nice to be able to stay and enjoy the Seafood Buffet at Suzette - so glad to have the buffet back 😋

Disappointing stay

Don’t get me wrong the Sofitel is a beautiful hotel but I was disappointed with a few things and I do not think it should be classed as a 5 star hotel. The rooms were nice but a bit outdated and did not seem that clean. Also not sure if they no longer supply bathrobes but I did miss this. The food was ok I have also been over charged for my stay and have been trying to sort this out have called twice promising that a supirvisor will call me back (I am still waitin) and also sent an email with no reply. I don’t think this is very good customer service.

Our stay was fantastic. Excellent staff and facilities. The club lounge on the 30th floor has a beautiful view. A large range of drinks and canapés served from 5.30-7.30pm. Barista coffee available all the time when lounge open. Staff were excellent in the lounge. Very high standard of hygiene.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Our room was extremely well appointed, our beds were like sleeping on a cloud, the hotel facilities were excellent, the location perfect. We hope to stay again when in Brisbane.

Where are the COVID Protocols?

We were disappointed to note that there was a certain complacency about COVID protocols. None of the staff wore masks. At the restaurant, nobody asked for or were interested in seeing our QR check-in and our vaccination status. We didn't see anyone doing meticulous rounds of the lifts to disinfect the lift buttons. We later went to another 5 star establishment to meet with family and the staff there were extremely efficient at checking all visitors to their cafe and piano bar areas for COVID requirements. The wait staff at the Sofitel were very eager to please and were very polite. The dinner food choices were very ordinary. Our room was comfortable but the decor is all starting to look very tired. It has just lost its 5 star gloss of old.

Sofitel have maintained their standard in the Brisbane hotel with very attentive and caring team at every point in the hotel from reception to room service to restaurant. in room There was a slip however which we "forgave" - a half consumed Perrier in the in room fridge and our tv required attention to view the menu as the batteries in the remote needed changing...we will return as the room was lovely - recommend a suite - well equipped, furnished, and priced.

Overall a satisfactory stay. Reservation made for three nights commencing on 5 Feb, which was also their first day reopening to public. Nice scented lobby, room was neat and tidy but bathroom could do with a freshen up. Great offerings at Club Millesime. Had issues on the third day rel@ting to housekeeping and key card access and have provided feedback to the hotel via end of stay survey link and awaiting to here back. All in all a satisfactory stay.

We had a week at the Sofital, the staff were excellent and very helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent but not cheap and the wine although wonderful was expensive. The breakfast buffet was good especially the omelets. Very comfortable beds.

Considering all that is going on with the uncertainty of our times it was so good to be in a hotel that truly does it’s best to still give outstanding service and detail to all things especially the small things that matter most, even though the staff are all under there own difficulties yet still remain so professional and understanding. A great reflection on management downward. Thanks again for a wonderful stay under the circumstances.

We always love staying at Sofitel Brisbane. The service is always excellent and the facilities always great. The breakfast in the morning was beyond delicious, the pool and spa area is well cared for and lots of room for many families.

A good stay

This would be the fourth time we have stayed here. While we always enjoy our stay at the Sofitel Brisbane, guests need to avoid room number 2305. It is located across the hall from the service lifts so all day and all night, hotel staff access the doors numerous times. This makes it difficult when trying to sleep at night or being woken up early the next morning as staff bring room service to guests for breakfast. The sound of the big heavy doors opening and closing countless times is not relaxing at all. I cannot fault the staff who are always polite and cater to our needs. The rooms are clean and have comfortable beds. When we return, I will make sure not to have a room across from the service lifts/doors as our quality of sleep was hindered.
