My family and I are from Ottawa and had to fly to NYC from Montreal, so I booked a night with Novotel because of the convenience to be close to the airport and leave the car at the parking lot for the days we were going to be away. In general, the experience was good. The only negative point is that the hotel doesn't have a shuttle so we had to take taxi to the airport and to the hotel, pay for them and then submit a claim to the hotel's reception to get reimbursed. When I made the reservation I was told that the taxi from the hotel to the airport was paid directly by the hotel, but it wasn't the case, there was a confusion and argument with the receptionists about this. At the end I came back from my trip and submitted the claims with the two receipts. I'm still waiting for an answer.

One look , and more importantly, one smell of the room, made us walk right back to the front desk and request a refund. Did not even bother having a look at the washroom or a look out the window…. The room reeked of the smell of cigarette that someone would have tried to cover with the smell of some discount Lysol spray…..Yucchhhh!

My mom and my brother stayed there for their 3 day quarantine. My mom has allergy to garlic. Everyday they mentioned on their order sheets that my mom has allergy to garlic and if she could have her meal with no garlic. Everything the answer was everything is pre-made. What is the point of putting the allergy section on the order sheets if you can't modify your food for your guest's health concerns? She pretty much had nine of your meal during her stay and tried to feed herself her own dry snacks. Eventhough she paid for 3 night stay meal. UNACCEPTABLE

I booked and prepaid 3 nights at the hotel as per Canada quarantine rules. Given I was a Gold member I was expecting a room upgrade. The room I stayed in was average at best with old carpeting that came off the floor in places. Only decaf coffee was made available and the bed was not that comfortable. Although I paid the 3 nights, I left the hotel as soon as I got my negative Covid test results. I would not go to this hotel again.

My wife and I returned from the US and are required by law to quarantine for 14 days. We had no choice but to pay for a 3 day stay at one of the government approved hotels. The good news is that we choose to stay at the Novatel and were very happy with our choice. The bad news is that I paid $1550 for a 3 night stay, and I only stayed for 15 hours or one night and Novatel not reimbursing any portion of the $1550. We know for a fact, that there were hotels on the government list that were reimbursing thei guests that did not stay for the 3 nights. This is really unfair and i hope you can reconsider your decision. i would really appreciate a reply to this request as it will make a difference in my decision making in any future stays at the Novatel for both us personally and the company I work for. You can say this a government rule, but the reality is Novatel is being paid and can make the final decision on reimbursement.......thank you for your consideration

The hotel was located some way out but was very quiet (good double glazing) the staff were very helpful the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the food was GREAT. I cannot fault this place for the service I received.

Staff was overall very nice. The room was not ideal for quarantine as the windows didn’t open. I received my COVID 19 test results within 12 hours of arriving and left within 24 hours but had to pay the $1000 “fixed price” which makes this the most expensive hotel night I’ve ever paid

This has become our "go to" hotel when we are in Montreal. The front desk staff have always been extremely friendly and very accommodating whenever we are there. We actually stay in this hotel 5-6 times a year. They accept pets which is great for us since we have a dog that travels with us. You don't hear any traffic from the highway at all. For the 1st time we went to the restaurant within the hotel for dinner and we were very impressed with the food as well. The hotel may not be in the center of lots of restaurants or stores, etc but it is only a short drive to these places. I would definitely recommend the hotel.
