Eason was super nice. He and his colleagues made a card and cake for my twins 6-year's birthday. The kids loved it. The hotel is historical, elegant and luxury. We think it is the best one in X.'an, and W hotel is the 2nd one.

The valet needs to be more professional and prepared. I got there via taxi, when u arrived there, the valet didn’t even notice my arrival. I had to carry my luggage and bag to the lobby through the ramp.

Friendly staffs with attention to details. Two things stand out during my stay; first, wife missed breakfast because she was too exhausted from all the walking and your staff (the beautiful pregnant lady) directed the server to paperbag some assortment if buns and fruits for me to take back to the room; second, staff sent a cake and roses to our room to help celebrate wife birthday. Small gestures but big impact on attention to details and warm caring. Great place like home and a group of fantastic staffs. Will be back soon as still more attractions yet to visit in Xian.

Good housing environment

The room was upgraded to a junior suite with a birthday cake, which is much appreciated, and it indeed was a well-functioning and decorated living environment that suited us well. The small garden is also a resting place for walks for photos. Staff members are generally cordial and helpful. Swimming pool and the gym were not that big but seemed few people were using them, so still good enough. If there's anything that have room for improvement, I guess it was the delivery speed of some on-demand supplies such as drinking water and teabags, sometime taking as long as 20-30 minutes. Also the breakfast could have provided more choices, and the Chinese food restaurant was not as good as expected, which seems a bit fell behind luxury standards of its kind. Overall it's a good experience despite some small pities and we will choose it again for next visit to Xi'an.

Definitely enjoyed my stay at this historical yet boutique hotel with warm welcome and a private tour around the hotel by Wilson and Danny. Lobby and bar were cosy despite high occupancy rate during the weekend. Breakfast was a highlight too. Location is at the heart of the old city, making it convenient for city explorers. I've noticed a bunch of KOL marketing and package promotions on OTAs recently, so do hope the hotel doesn't sacrifice high quality while exercising cost control. Would love to come back for another stay.

We stayed for 2 nights in Sofitel Legend Xian. The hotel was located in a historic and elegant building, right at the centre of Xian. Our room was spacious and clean. The service of this hotel is flawless, with all staff trained to a very high standard. All concierge staff were knowledgeable about the local area and helped us a lot during our stay. Especially I'd like to thank Wilson Liu for his brilliant tour of the hotel. Although this is not the most affordable hotel in Xian, I still highly recommend it as this will definitely be a rememberable stay.

I booked through American Express Platinum Fine Hotels and Resorts. I was promised the amenities through the program, which I did receive in all other hotels on my China trip, however, even though the hotel was virtually empty, they did not provide me with a room upgrade, and instead tried to charge me double for a next category room. Also, the $100 food and beverage credit was not applied because they did not accept from the main bar, however, the restaurants in the hotel were never open for me to use the credit. Overall I am disappointed with the experience

I have been in and out of China since 1976, visiting all provinces including Tibet and have stayed at many fine hotels throughout the country. For many years my top choice was the Peace Hotel on Shanghai"s Bund. But since it opened The Peoples Grand Hotel has been my favourite hotel in China. Excellemy facilities, excellent location, a very stylish hotel very well managed with extremely efficient and very friendly staff.

What’s not to love about this hotel?? Our stay in Xi’an started a bit rocky on our end. Our train from Beijing was more than 2 hours late pulling into Xi’an. We had arranged for the hotel to pick us up. I thought there would be no way that the driver would still be at the station but he was! The check in staff was fantastic and immediately made us feel welcome. Speaking English wasn’t a problem at all! The room was elegant and we so appreciated the little touches, like coming back to tea and treats in the evening. The morning breakfast is unbelievable . Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Excellent location in the heart of Xi'an--walking distance to the city walls. Stunning French decorations. I love the styles columns in hallways and the marbled bathrooms. Service is superb--the staff is clearly very well trained.
