The plus points were the location, a short walk from the train station, coach station, and bus links together with the centre of the city with all its amenities such as shopping bars and restaurants. Another plus was the spotlessly clean room yet the room was let down by the mattress on the bed which was awful and the pillows which were old and past usefulness. The television was old, small, and difficult to watch, but the Wi-Fi had good speed and connectivity. The hotel did not have a bar, drinks were available only from the fridge in reception and I was not made welcome at the adjacent hotel bar even though they were operated by the same hotel group, I was rudely and arrogantly questioned as to why I was not staying in the hotel that I had booked. The hotel did not offer me any evening meals and breakfast was a cold continental offering poor ingredients and not worth the money charged. The coffee was terrible. Not the best budget experience, I have to say that Travelodge does budget much better.
