Old hotel and need a renovation

Old facility and bathroom & bed linen cleanliness are not good. Door for balcony is not closed. Bed linen had bad smell ( men's smell). Bathroom had mold on door frame.

Loved it... but left on a low note

Dear Representative, good morning. Hope this message finds you well and in great health. We appreciate the time to be heard. Me and my lady loved the spacious room, the view, the location. The PhytoErvas soaps and shampoos and the towels initially available were up to high standards. We found it smart of you to offer space where it counts: the room. Kudos. For the location to be "perfect" we wish the trip to the metro station (Trianon Masp) wasn't a steep uphill journey. Other than that the location is most privileged. The young folks at the front desk deserve special recognition: Maria Eduarda, Vitória and Wellison were all brightfuly cheerful and helpful. You who work in this industry know people make a difference, for they are the "touch points" with guests. They always had a sincere smile, a nice attitude, and ears for listening and mouths to suggest a nice place for us to go. We were pampered when arrived to the room with 2 tasteful macarons, left with a kind hand written note from the staff wishing us well. Even the sub-contracted restaurante was an unexpected pleasure: the service was kind but subpar, obviously the "waiter" was not qualified, but the food was surprisingly good, for "bife ancho" was tender and to required doneness. We found it odd that the "waiter" said he could not bill us to the guest system, and asked (before the meal was even served) if we wanted to pay right at that time (a first, for me). No biggie though. We were headed to Cirque du Soleil and need a dinner in a rush, and it was OK, even though my lady's "Caesar salad" was subpar (some ranch dressing here and there, not Caesar at all -- but then again, when was the last time the cook or whoever devised the menu had an authentic such salad?). The low note: on our last night, the room service nice folks took one of our 4 pillows (we were left with 3), and left what I might not call towels but rags (1,5 x 0,75 m), with stains and almost no "drying surface". From the previous ones, they even seemed smaller. I called the front desk and asked to be sent towels as big and nice as the ones he had before. They sent us additionaly 2 body and 2 face rags. So, we had 8 unpleasant and disgusting rags. I called the front desk, explained that I didn't want more of the same, the person said "they are just as big as the ones from your arriving day, maybe they are just not as fluffy from being much used"... Might I add "much much much". I have pictures taken, should they be of assistance to improve service. I must admit I was dumbfounded with such remark, and decided it wasn't worth the stress. Life is much bigger than that, but who knows what might have motivated such poor service? Thanks for your time reading. Best regards, Flávio and Carmem
