I am used to visit Novotel hotels worldwide, and I understand that we are living a specific context currently, but I don't think that COVID should be the excuse not to deliver the level of service promised. At least, guests should be informed (ideally before booking through the website) or immediately once booked with the confirmation email that some facilities would be closed (we specifically chose your hotel for the gym/spa, which was closed upon arrival - and did not even received an apology). No in room bathroom amenities, no tea & coffee facility, no water stopper in the bathroom, and barely no service when we asked for this (!)... Except to potentially reduce your costs, there is no reason why those items were not in the room. All this is individually packed and would have been cleaned/changed before another guest arrival, so COVID cannot be the excuse in my eyes. Reducing the level of service (but not your prices) and disappointing your potential returning customers is not the way forward I believe. Breakfast was great and service was efficient. Maybe opening the terrace doors would allow people to take their breakfast outside instead of thinking they should all fit inside. Offering free parking is great. All in whole, had a good stay but remained very disappointed.

Overall our stay was very satisfactory. The only negative was the size of the room which was essentially a double with the sofa converted into a third bed as there were 3 in our group. This meant that we were very cramped with hardly any space. It would be better if a triple person bookings are automatically upgraded to a junior suite or similar.

Everything was excellent except breakfast. It's too poor concerning hot meals and doesn't correspond to 4* hotel. It would be better to have different sausages and sunny eggs in addition to omelette, for example.

The hotel is ok however the family room was very small, the breakfast buffet was very basic and the taste of food wasn’t that great Hotel is far from everywhere and it was very hard to for us to get around without a car because taxis are rare in this area

It was appalling. The pillows had blood stains. The carpet had stains. My feet stuck to the floor. The pillows were creased in the middle and lumpy. This hotel shouldn’t be a formulae 1, let alone a Novotel. The general manager and housekeeping manager should be ashamed of themselves.

The room needs refurbishing

The suite 616 was.... floor stained which was cleaned... the walls were dirty. Sliding door broken... shower broken... cigarette burn on tv ... toilet continue to run water and maid who literally chased you out of the room early and seemed frustrated that we were in the room at 9am... the hotel staff were friendly and kind .. i stayed for 14 nights in the suite and spent over 3000 for a distressed room. I stayed 2 weeks early in suite 618 and it was clean and tidy. It frustrated me that i spent the same money for a worse room. I did mention this to the staff but they only apologised... novotel you need a refresh the suites!

Some confusion about the pool hours

Overall stay was as expected (pretty good), although there was some confusion about the pool hours. We were told by the front desk that the pool is open until 8pm. We went to the pool, but one of the other guests warned us that they pool man just shocked the pool with Chlorine, and we should probably not go in. We tried to find out from the staff if it's safe to enter the pool, but they could not positively tell us that it was safe, so we skipped the pool. The next day, we were told that it was actually safe, but at this point we didn't have the time for the pool... Other than that the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed our stayed there.

I am used to the Accor and Novotel brand representing high quality. This hotel is definitely not a. 4 star hotel. I would have to say a 2.5 star at best. It was dirty in the common areas, smelled dank, unfortable beds, safe in room did not work, pool and extra amenities offered were dirty, old, unkempt and the breakfast was in a dining room with filthy chairs and tables and the breakfast offering was poor. The coffee maker did not work in the breakfast area. I had to go the hotel bar to order coffee for my wife and I before heading out and I ended up having to buy breakfast on the road once we left. Unfortunately I am very disappointed.

I booked the Novotel because I am a Platinum member of Le club Accor and they are always comfortable. Even the budget ibis maintains a high level of comfort. Thus my surprise at the Novotel. The beds were terrible and the property generally of low quality. Even the lift broke down with my wife and I trapped for ten minutes. The only high point was the lovely helpful staff. I just struggle to believe that Accor owns this hotel.
