Well located, but poor customer service

I did not have a great experience with this 4 stars hotel. I booked a family suite, and the air conditioning was not reaching the second room. When I reported this, it took 2 days for them to give me a fan, which exploded on the second day it was given to me. I reported this, and was given a dirty fan, which I did not switch on. The following day the technician came in and said they will give me another fan, which they never did. The other issue I had, was that on the first 2 days, the breakfast was good, bacon in a separate bowl, same as the scrambled egg. But for the remaining 5 days they put the bacon, sausage and scrambled egg in the same bowl, hence I did not take the egg, because it had the smell of bacon and sausage.

Rooms not properly cleaned - COVID concern

The front desk staff were excellent and very helpful. However, my room wasn't cleaned before I arrived and there were empty KFC boxes from the previous guests in there. No towels also. I have pictures and sent them to reception but nobody has said anything to me. Me and my company travel constantly and I will think twice about choosing Mercure if this is the level of care taken during COVID

Since the airconditioning has been repaired the bedrooms are fine again. My previous stays with you resulted in quite severe chest infections (perhaps due to the dirty air circulating through the system....)

Both rooms were nice and clean, but I really loved the ambiance of the room for my second night which was on the 5th floor. It was very contemporary and a nice scenic view.

This poor score (the first ever over ten years of frequent stays) was due to the lack of airconditioning in the building. Hot, bad air, later my window was opened by staff at the hotel, diminishing the heat but letting in the noise and the pollution. Unbearable and very bad for the hotel. No customer wishes to come back or prolong a stay if there are other possibilities for as long as this has not been sorted out.

Aircondition out of order, no parking for van, not to friendly staff.

at arrival we informed at the van was higher than 190cm. But they did send us into a parking cellar with only 190!!! They dis not seem to be sorry for our inconvenience when we informed about the problem at the desk! The aircondition in the room was out of order. When we arrived for breakfast at 09.30 they gave us the impression that we were far to late for breakfast. But when we checked the info. breakfast in weekends where until 10.00

A rather pleasant stay

Hotel is very nice, but the localisations leaves a bit - metro is around 800m away and RER C is a bit closer thou. The biggest issue was lack of ventilation and somehow malfunctioning air conditioning. Rooms are big with enough space. Same thing goes for bathrooms. Service was splendid.

Terrible hotel very old and worn

Stayed in a ‘privilege’ room which was spacious but has one part of the wall replaced by plasterboard. The toilet plumbing did not work properly so it constantly refilled every 10 mins throughout the night. One of the blinds doesn’t close. The light is so cheap it hums constantly. Just got stuck in the elevator for 10 mins because they are so old the doors got stuck closed. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner Friday, Saturday or Sunday so if you arrive in the evening on those days do not expect to be able to eat - I had to order takeout! Oh and the view over the river is marred by what looks to be a rubbish tip. Overall I would barely class this hotel as a three star let alone four.
