The hotel room was far too hot to sleep in, we had to open the window and because the hotel is close to a busy main road we got no sleep due to the noise. The room service menu was pathetic and when it finally turned up it was cold. A lovely hotel spoiled by inexperienced staff.

A NICE HOTEL BUT FLAWED

This hotel is well fitted and clean, however it is seriously let down by inexperienced staff. The first time we stayed, (six weeks ago) we were told that our anticovid app was "broken", obviously it wasn't, as we had used it the night before at another Accor hotel, but the girl insisted that we had to leave. After 10 minutes trying to reason with her, we finally managed to convince her that her machine needed resetting, and guess what? it worked. This time we were met by the same clueless girl who was very nice but definitely needs some customer service training. When we got to the room this time, it was around 30 degrees and far too hot to sleep, we asked for the air con to be switched on only to be told that at this time of year it was not possible but they could open the window, this would normally be fine but unfortunately the hotel is right next to a very busy road, which resulted in us not getting any sleep. We have found this at other Accor hotels after October, the rooms are far too hot, with no air con....crazy. Apart from that the hotel is modern and clean, and most of the staff are charming (albeit a bit clueless).

Reception pleasant and friendly. Room was clean, had everything but was rather small. Breakfast was good. Evening meal, very simple but adequate. Server very competent and friendly. An ok one night stop on our journey.

Disappointed no English News channels. BBC world was not attainable. Later stayed at ibis Style & they managed to provide BBC world News.

minimum services provided, I even had to request the welcome drink. Restaurant with a waiting Area, but I need to call the waitress twice before getting a table. Same thing in the morning for the breakfast. No upgrade available but wasn't clearly expalined during the check in.

Too crowded in the restaurant

It was completely impossible to keep the correct distance in the restaurant at breakfast. Much too crowded. And no Covid precautions at the buffet at all. For sure this will be a risk for the spread of Covid!!!

Notre staff fait sont maximum tous les jours pour veiller à ce que cette rigueur soit de mise. Nous tenons un cahier des charges covid à jour, ce qui fait de notre hôtel un hotel labélisé "All Safe". Votre sécurité n'est pas et ne sera jamais une option au Mercure Valence. Effectivement, nous avons la chance en cette période de pouvoir afficher complet et nous sommes heureux de pouvoir offrir un service de qualité. Service and friendliness were perfect even with the limitations caused by Covid. The rooms are more than sufficient and better then what you would expect of a Mercure. Staff were very friendly. I will definitely stay there again whenever in I in the neighborhood.

Regular overnight stopping point for onward journey to Spain. Always good standard & adjacent restaurant meets our needs. Pity no early breakfast times. Good online check in & painless leaviing early am. Sometimes difficulty in finding motorway access on leaving.

So well located, with Courtepaille resto just attached, super parking, many TV stations, clean, clean, clean. Yes, this is a keeper!!! It is located so close to the interstate with 24h gas station right around the corner. FIftteen euros breakfast was out o the question.

We stayed at this hotel on our journey from Spain to Holland. Excellent accommodation and staff. Food good at on-site restaurantand excellent breakfast. Swimming pool available too which is always a bonus.

Very hot rooms, and the aircondition did not work. The hotel management has decided not to turn aircondition on before the 1st of May. Happy for that my stay was only one night long, and I will never return to this hotel again.

It was very cold in the bathroom. And too hot in the bedroom. It was not much choice for the room service. The breakfast was very basic. The lady at the reception was very nice. The location of the hotel was convenient.
