After a few hot days in Victoria, I needed a bit of respite from the weather and decided to book a stay at my favourite hotel in Melbourne. Was very glad that I did in spite of the covid19 restrictions. I usually have breakfast at the hotel but this is not possible at the moment but that is the only thing that I did not like about my stay. Everything else was perfect and I will definitely be back soon!

Rooms are good, but services lacking

Covid times ok, I get it but the rooms when service was done they made the bed but didn’t restock coffee or shampoos then when do not disturb sign is placed they phone the room. Rooms are not checked properly as I’m sure mine had been empty a while dust on window seal, kettle dead spider on window seal that remained their for a week and may still be there. Ok so no restaurant due to covid instead coffee and pastries. Could have lived with it but as it’s the reception staff making the coffee 3 tries and I gave up. Undrinkable on one day. Pastries are just basically bulk bought with no real variety.

Room was good with tidy beds and toilets and bathrooms were clean. However under the beds were not clean at all full of dust and edges around the room were not vaccumed properly. 2nd day after mid day someone came and cleaned the toilets, bathrooms changed the bins and vaccumed the rooms properly which was good. Overall I'm happy but cleaning side needs about attention I think. A big thank you to the lady at the reception, customer service was very good A+++++++

Room was clean but no toilet brush, fridge needs a freezer. I needed to freeze a couple of iceboxes but unfortunately couldn't do that. Banging noises coming from roof. I was on top floor thinking it would be quiet but wasn't to be unfortunately. Folder with information about the area would be good. Most hotels have these that contain takeaway menus etc.

Our friendly front office team can provide you with all the information you require and also provide you with specially designed packs of amenities for single use as often as you desire. We are also able to keep your ice bricks in our kitchen freezer as unfortunately mini bar fridges for hotels aren't designed to offer a large area for freezing items. The staff were helpful with advice on excellent places to eat nearby, and getting a few extra items. The location was great, easy to get to by car off the freeway, and train to the city. Love the 5pm check out with excellent wifi.
