« I visit this hotel several times are year, but nobody seems to care about returning clients »

I visit the Ibis Deira City Centre several times a year, but this time I didn't feel appreciated. Why? I am a Gold and now Silver Accor member, mainly due to my stays in this hotel. So I spent some time and money there. When I booked my stay several month in advance I informed the hotel in the booking that I would prefer to stay in a non-smoking room on a higher floor. But nobody seems to care about what you write in the booking on Ibis.com. I was asked if I want a smoking or non-smoking room and then I received a room on the 2nd floor. They had months to arrange a room for me, but it seems nobody cares that I am frequent visitor to their hotel. Besides that, the fridge was not plugged in. Unfortuantely I had to figure that out on my own after the 2nd day. The soap in the shower was empty after 2 days but has not been checked and replaced. I had to remind them two times to bring my a towel for the bathroom floor, which is usually included. And last but not least the TV channels are sometimes not working. But at least the TV got better. So my next visit might be in another hotel.

My preferred hotel since more than 10years with good clean environment. However this time while check in i was made to wait and suffer for 1.5hours as IBIS DEIRA reception staff said there was no booking even though i had confirmed booking for 2 rooms(Booking number : HWRDBMLL, HWRDBMSV). Hotel receptioni verified many times in front of me and said i have no booking. Then i had to log in into my accor membership account to show them my booking then they rechecked and were able to checkin. This is highly unacceptable as your reception staff doesnot know how to check and after long travel we were made to suffer. Please investigate this issue.

« Disappointing -might look for another hotel next time »

Booked my room in good time from Saturday till Wednesday. Arrived from Europe on Sunday morning and could only get a smoking room. After discussion with reception I finally could get a none smoking room ! During my stay I had a two towels plus one for the floor. After first cleaning my towel for the floor was missing and cleaning was very limited. Next day I further lost one more towel and only had one left.

I have booked the room 14 days in advance prior to check in. First guest arrived after 8pm and as mentioned to booking notes, second guest will arrive late after mid-night hence request for late check-out which was granted till 2pm. Thank you. The room is as mentioned in the booking -- with large double bed, desk, Internet, LCD flat screen TV with all the best channels and a bathroom with shower or bathtub. What strike though was the statement that says "Sweet Bed by ibis bedding" but I can tell you the bedding are with rips (not hole but can compare to stretch marks rips). The side table (with the installed lamp) is dusty--like it was cleaned few days ago and no one checked in. The seat on the side is so stained, it's scary to put the luggage. Rest, toilet is clean and the room carpet is hopefully cleaned. Breakfast time is a little chaotic, the food is not replenished quickly, but understandable. Even the mugs and cups are not replenished automatically that people have to approach the service crew only to be filled with few cups, people line up on the coffee machine. I don't know if I should say I have to expect this since the cost of the room is budget--but I am holding on Accor/Ibis known quality, so price should not be the basis. All in all the purpose was served. We have a place we stayed for the night, left earlier than the requested time. Exceptional service was provided by the front desk personnel (I forgot his name), we checked out 27 Dec, Friday around 1pm -- --he confirmed we can stay till 2pm when late check out was requested with calmness and SMILE. He is courteous when he accommodated our check out. No prompting required, he looks at us with a smile. The kind of warm service that should be given instead of pretending busy over the computer that you have to wait for few minutes until patience is gone. The whole facility is clean all in all. The parking at the back is easy. we didn't use the valet or the hotel parking if any. Internet is fast--even the lobby internet is very good. If I will return for another booking, definitely. Hopefully this time, with the real Sweet bed by Ibis bedding. :)
