Stayed in 227, the room itself was clean but the carpet was filthy and stained. Checkin was well organised and felt COVID safe, the bar was also well organised and staff very friendly and efficient.

I think Novotel does everything it can to keep the guests and staff safe during this pandemic. The room I had and the whole facility is as clean as it can be and there are hand sanitizer stations all around the hotel. Staff (although contact is limited) is kind and helpful. My experience is positive except the way the breakfast is managed. I know that the Scottish Government bans the buffet breakfast but for sure there is a better way providing breakfast than the one in this hotel. (For tips, how to improve this service, please get in touch with the Novotel Szeged hotel.) There is no laminated list of items available (which could be cleaned just as well as the table is cleaned between guests) so you order blind or just go with the flow and order an English breakfast in Scotland. I missed the black pudding and the haggis.

We had a lovely night and were able to take our baby swimming which was so great! None of the public pools are open for wee ones. Hoping to return soon.

Everything was extremely clean. Hand sanitiser at reception and next to lift. I not used the room facilities to work so can’t comment on rest of hotel. WiFi connection was good and quiet rooms available to work from.

Beautiful, modern and clean hotel Service was fantastic Food and facilities were excellent, kids especially loved the pool Location was spot on - quiet and 2 min walk to tram which takes you into Edinburgh city centre However, there was no radiator to dry swimming clothes and could not open window for cool air as it was a very hot night but overall, fantastic and will be back.

The staff were friendly and helpful as usual at the hotel with both check in and out very swift & efficient. I do however need to bring to your attention the breakfast arranges which I feel do need refinement as I fully understand the removal of the buffet however this needed to be replaced with a proper menu for guests to view as it was we were only given a very brief verbal description of what was available this is completely different to the dinner service where menus are either available or you can use the QR code provided.

I have stayed number of Novotel Hotels across the world but I am not hesitate to admit that Novotel Edinburgh Park is one of the bests. I was travelling from London so arrived quite early. Check-in was very smooth, I was preallocated Suite number 501 by Ilaria on 5th floor. Suite was very spacious, clean and modern. Bathroom was huge with mega bathtub as well as very spacious walk-in bath. Suite had its own private terrace with incredible view. Suite has sitting area which can be separated by a sliding door between the bedroom. Bar, Restaurant, leisure club everything was up to the mark. Only negative thing I found was that, the pool water was a bit colder than what I anticipated, it was a bit uncomfortable to swim in. I also want to mention extremely friendly and professional staff with incredible customer service (one of the best I ever faced). Specially Ilaria and Lena were exceptional. They both made our stay out of the world. I would recommend the top management team, not to lose these Gems ever, I want to say big thank you to both of them. Honestly every single staff member was of same professional level and had played a massive part to make this Novotel very special. Location wise this hotel was spot on, away from the city crowd but just 20 minutes Tram from the station which is located 2 minutes walk away from the hotel and cost only £3.60 return. Of course you can drive to town centre but parking will be big issue in town plus very costly. Plenty of car park available on site and comes very cheap. Overall I would highly recommend other travellers to come and stay with Novotel Edinburgh Park, I bet it is one of the best hotels in Town. Looking forward to stay here again. :)

Good location, allowed dogs but no facilities to allow drinking or eating with dog. Room was not as I booked, no sofa,overall served its pupose.

Great check in experience and as always very welcoming staff. I felt safe with all COVID measures, diner both nights was good, albeit a limited menu but I loved the fact there was an app to use so I didn't need to handle a menu. Breakfast was a very different experience to say the least.

Stay here many timeS . Great location and facilities. Handy for the tram. We never done much this time in Edinburgh due to the Covid . Visited Blair Drummond , Livingston and the Kelpies. Other than that used the hotel bar and swimming pools . Very impressed with the organisation of the facilities to distance people during the virus and seating arrangements during breakfast

Have visited a number of times. This was for my birthday which a family member stated to the hotel but unfortunately during my stay there was no acknowledgement of my birthday. A little disappointed to be honest. My son age 10 wanted it to be special.

Extremely disappointed to discover on check-in that the pool, which your website stated was closed, was in fact open.

Dear I, Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey following your stay with us at Novotel Edinburgh Park. We are sorry to hear that this time your expectations were not met. This is particularly disappointing for us since we strive to provide our guests with the best possible level of service. I am sorry to hear you thought there was lack of communication on check in. Our swimming pool was opened in early September following government regulations. The hotel is starting to reopen slowly after a long hiatus due to COVID-19 and there is a chance that updating the website might have taken a little longer than usual. Please allow me to apologise for this and to assure you we are working hard to bring our services to the excellent quality we like to provide. I am unsure which code you were awaiting - there are no codes necessary for our car park, just a ticket that you will receive from the machine upon arrival. I have stayed in various hotels in Edinburgh over the last 6 months due to work.i have found generally the hotel staff are not well trained in customer service ie sometime do not offer a service . This is not the cast at Novotel your your staff are always helpful and offer good Custormer service this puts Novotel way in front of other major hotel chains Thanks Gavin

Stylish and a nice wee pool

Stayed with my kids for one night en route to visit family. We enjoyed a splash in the small pool and felt comfortable with the restrictions. Didn't know about needing a pound coin for the locker though and by that time were in swimsuits. No staff around. Requested a room away from the train and tram lines and got it. Had a bit of road noise but not bothersome. The main issue with the room was a personal one for us as sharing a bed did not work with my kids. I'd prefer the option of a twin with sofa bed. Ordered room service for our dinner and the food was prompt and plentiful and everything tasted great. Wasn't advised to book a time for breakfast at check in so ended up queuing for about 20 mins which wasn't ideal. Also a mistake was made with our breakfast order and it was difficult to find and get the attention of staff. (And there was only marmalade or blackcurrant jam....!) The food was tasty and, with the kids eating for free, we got our money's worth! At checkout I was offered a discount which was a nice touch but I would've been happier to have not had the issues.
