we checked in on Sunday for a Monday flight. Surroundings very calm and no restaurants - had to go to the airport at 3 pm to eat something - surroundings on Sunday a bit unpleasant feeling unsecure.

First, the hotel needs to have a periodic maintenance, because they gave me the room 366 which has problem with switch light and the air conditioner doesn't work. I asked the recepcionist Sergio to send someone, but noone appeared. I had to call again to send someone. They fixed the interruptor, but not the air. The second day i claimed again about the a/c, so they sent Isaias(good guy), who helped me out and asked to change my room. I got difficulties with the recepcionist Sergio, i asked him to verify why the breakfast is not included in the reservation since i had included it due the reservation, so he sent me to check with the agency, because that's what he received in the booking, when the deal is with my company, Oracle. (Anyway, i had to made my calls). As an example, I got the same issue once in the Ibis Posto 5 and the recepcionist resolve it even without i new about it, and later had told me that there was a mistake in the system reservation and we correct it, because our deal with Oracle is breakfast included.

Very expensive mini-bar items. A water that regurlarly costs R$2 they were selling for R$7. The restaurant quite expensive as well.

« Excellent Stay at Novotel Santos Dumont »

I had an excellent stay for the first time. Hotel staff are very friendly especially Sergio and Julie. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. The only thing that makes me so sad and disappointed is that the hotel told me that I will not earned points even number of nights in my le club account. I am so sad and maybe i will not stay at the hotel anymore.

« Nice Place in Downtown »

We had a very nice stay here. It is just beside the domestic airport. We could see the airplanes landing and taking off very often from our window but we could not hear much noise at all. It is very good! The restaurant for breakfast is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good and the service was excellent! We also enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant and bar. The staff are very friendly and helpful! It is very convenient to walk around in downtown from this location. There are many beautiful architectures to see in downtown.

« Surprisingly good breakfast »

At first our reservation was cancelled. I received an e-mail in the taxi on my way there. The e-mail was sent at 17:09 an said that I asked fir a cancellation and that it was accepted. As I never requested this I called from the taxi just 10 minutes before my arrival and got to speak to reservation. I was informed that I needed to give my credit card info for her to reactivate my reservation otherwise the price could not be guaranteed. As I was in a taxi with two kids (one in my lap) I asked if we could wait 10 minutes since I was less than five minutes a away. That was absolutely impossible so I had to find my wallet and read out loud the numbers of my credit card. The same minute that we arrived outside the hotel we hang up. It’s just not a very nice way to treat a guest. It’s one thing if the hotel reaches out and call the guest, but nothing. My booking was just cancelled and even informes that I !!! asked for the cancellation and after that it was absolutely impossible to wait 10 minutes for my arrival. The room, was ok. Nothing special, but nice for the purpose. The reservation was for 4 people, but in the room it was 2 towels and only one very small bottle of courtesy water. We asked for more that was going to be sent to the room. That never happened. What was a very nice surprise was the great breakfast! Congrats! Very rare in Brazil in this kind of hotels. Very very good!

Novotel SDU stay after my trip to Europe. This is a good stay after a long trip, very convenient close to SDU airport. Only that misses in this hotel is a transfer to the Airport. Is close, but it is close enough to make it difficuklt to find taxi; at the same time it is not close enough to someone who needs to walk to the VERY DANGEROUS center of Rio de Janeiro

About 500m walk from the exit of the domestic airport (SDU) Quick and easy check in. Comfortable room. About 10 mins walk to the Metro.

I´ve been at this hotel for a while, it´s a very good location, good amenities and accommodation. Walking distance from Santos Dumont airport and close downtown. Room very good, good restaurant, gym and parking.
