Old room looks like from 80s & staff hardly speaking english

The hotel is much worst than last stays. Was given a handicapped room without previous advice: small sink with huge water pressure, small shower area with a handicapped chair using up good part of the area and a curtain that doesn’t stop the water from drowning the whole room. Breakfast with a very oldish scrambled egg and little options in general. Only one person working in the front desk and when we arrived there were around 30 people from a offshore drilling company doing checkin ate the same time. One of the elevators is broken and doesn’t allow the selection of floors 4 and 5. Took a while to discover this and every time had to wait for the second elevator in order to get to the room.

Melissa, the night host, was very accommodating. Our room was missing the sofa bed (it was near midnight) so she moved was to another room and went herself sort the sofa and bedding for us. 10 for her. The fact that she was alone in a hotel that size was a bit strange…! Also we arrived with two little kids and there was absolutely nothing to offer us in the hotel. Not even a snack machine. We would have to go to the hotel next door, not a nice thing to do with to exhausted kids. Other than that, the room was exceptionally comfortable and the breakfast amazing.

Since Rio de Janeiro is an entry-city to the state of RJ, I arrived by flight at 10pm at the airport. By the time I arrive in the Hotel it was already 10:20pm and the restaurant was already closed (closes at 10pm) and there was no 24-hour food to order inside the Hotel. This is a huge Hotel and it should have at least 24-hour service for snacks such as hamburgers, sandwiches, small foods. Ifood is an option, however, the comfort of eating a food prepared by the hotel is priceless.

Although brief, my stay at the hotel was great. The only thing I would note as an improvement point, is that the breakfast isn’t available early in the morning. I’ve had an early flight, and there wasn’t anything to eat before leaving. I’ve had to eat at the airport.

It was a 2 day stay at Rio de Janeiro, and I've enjoyed a lot. Breakfast was great and the room was very clean. I wish there was more water pressure (but I was on the last floor) and also the AC was quieter. Despite of that, it was a great stay.

I am a platinum member and I requested a change of room, I was not answered. I didn't even get an answer to my request. Even though I was asked to go to my room and wait for my return. The bathroom had mold and bugs on the ceiling.

Novotel SDU stay after my trip to Europe. This is a good stay after a long trip, very convenient close to SDU airport. Only that misses in this hotel is a transfer to the Airport. Is close, but it is close enough to make it difficuklt to find taxi; at the same time it is not close enough to someone who needs to walk to the VERY DANGEROUS center of Rio de Janeiro

I´ve been at this hotel for a while, it´s a very good location, good amenities and accommodation. Walking distance from Santos Dumont airport and close downtown. Room very good, good restaurant, gym and parking.

Very expensive for the quality that a received. Bad Smell, old furniture, air conditioning noisy, and dirty sheets. I will never return in this hotel. Thats sad a Brand like Accor offers in a big city a poor quality hotel !

I have stayed here before. This is just to confirm that the hotel is still wonderful, and lived up to all my expectations. The room was spacious, with all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. Add the bar and restaurant experience, and I was well pleased.

Expensive , nothing included, had problems with the AC as soon as I arrived to my room from a long day s work and had to be moved to another room after two employees came to try to fix the AC. Fairly dissapointed to say the least

I would have to present my credit card what I had paid months ago. Without this I couldn't stay on the hotel. Terrible process. All of services are OK. The location near the airport is the vantage to stay in this hotel.

Ideal for a fast trip, because it's near the Santos Dumont airport, you can go by walk from the airport. The hotel follows the Novotel patterns, which is good. Good attendants, clean and new rooms. It's far from the Rio's touristic points, but it's possible to get taxis, buses or subway. During the night the region is not so safe, so be careful walking around late at night.
