Very central location, on site (paid for) car parking. Nice staff. Room comfortable with nice view but bit dated (e.g. no plug sockets at side of bed).

Accommodation very nice. However, as our room was overlooking a car park and near the entrance to the gym & spa, curtains or a blind would have been expected. Night drapes were fitted, but if privacy were needed during daylight hours, and it was, then nets or some such should have been fitted. To have passers by waving at you in your room is a little disconcerting. When I mentioned it to reception I was told,” none of the rooms have them” and it was treated as a bit of a joke. 99% of all other rooms have them

Good location near cathedral,room need’s upgrade as carpet threadbare and furniture tatty with handles loose or hanging off.

Housekeeping, reception and breakfast all good. Difficulty was expereinced with communication. Emails to the email address provided go unanswered and unacknowledged. Tried their unresponsive website that did not offer the available room configurations I wanted to book so had to present myself at reception to get anywhere. Luckily I live only 45 minutes away by car, but I still had to climb in it and drive to have conversations that are better served quite productively and less costly using email. From memory, I made at least 4 trips. Managed to get a quote for 6 rooms from marketing but then when booking at reception (because no one answered my emails) , duty manager refused to accept quote and increased price. I provided an email (that was not acknowledged so I have no idea if they got it or not) with a room allocation list and on check on half of our group called me to check they had a room becuase the receptionist could not find it. Eventually, which some guidance, they did. The hotel had the data, but didn't use it properly. This is no way to run a business. Good location but faded infrastructure. Crying out for a refurbishment, but those on the delivery side were efficient and did what was required. All that means I would think twice about returning and certainly check out other options before making that decision.

The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of town just behind the cathedral. The hotel itself is pretty outdated/ in need of renovation. No information book in the room, no complimentary water. Rooms creek with every movement of visitors in nearby rooms. Almost invisible staff who are reluctantly do basic tasks like checking you in or sorting the parking for you.
