This is my second stay and to be honest . It was rather disappointing. The queen night itself was great, the main and dessert food was great. The wine was disappointing though . The hotel and general service wasnt the best . The first time we stayed I thought the service wasnt great at the bar but thought it was because there was a wedding on . Again this time is seems you didnt have enough staff working . The service wasnt great atal, you could tell the the two people working behind the bar were completely rushed of their feet and stressed to the max which resulted in bad service . A long wait for drinks at the bar and a long quee because there wasnt enough staff to keep onto of everything. We ordered cocktails and could tell by the facial expressions and attitude it was a huge inconvenience, not great when they cost £9 ! Service with a smile would have went a long way. Queen night was great though and was the whole reason for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay apart from when we arrived and got to our rooms they were cold with no heating on. The rooms however were very clean and comfortable. The food at the function was lovely. The Queen tribute was very good . Breakfast was lovely and plenty to choice from for all dietary requirements.

Myself and 3 friends stayed for 2 nights. We attended One Night of Queen on the Saturday. We all found your hotel beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff very friendly and helpful. To top the weekend off One Night of Queen was amazing I would recommend this to anyone

Beautiful property, nothing was too much trouble for the reception or bar teams that I came into contact with - so friendly and lovely! Room service food was a tad disappointing especially considering the price... pizza was a bit basic and the nachos were an obvious microwave job with 3 blobs of dip on top. Rooms (furnishings) could do with a bit of maintenance but the venue makes up for a lot.

« Beautiful hotel with dedicated staff to ensure a pleasurable stay »

Stayed for the one night of queen experience. It was a great night held in a lovely hotel. The staff at the bar before we went to see Gary Mullen were excellent. Complete change when we attended the show. The bar in the room had no dark beer which my partner drinks,he was told to choose another beer,well he doesn't drink any other beer. The staff kindly got him dark beer from downstairs,two at a time at our request. When the bar staff delivered it to our table we were told 'THATS NOT HAPPENING AGAIN' I did complain but after that it was a frosty welcome when my partner went back up to the bar. The room was lovely.

« Fab weekend had by all »

Had a great wkend for the Garry Mullen Queen night, our food for the evening was delish and breakfast in the mornin was lovely especially with a great view to look out too. Our room was perfect for the 3 of us and the beds was comfy. Would definitely be back again.

Good hotel, restaurant breakfast etc. I went to the spa, and it's not really a spa, is it? More a swimming pool with a sauna. Nothing wrong with that but call it what it is. But the girl working there was very nice and helpfull.

the ambience, food, comfort was excellent. The pool well organised. Two problems. HOTEL TV didn't have BBC4 despite there being a slot for it. As a French owned group I would expect the bar to Know what a Kir is and furthermore to sell it

« Great stay disappointed with the meal »

room was lovely, very spacious and nicely decorated. Great facilities ie fridge. Had dinner in the evening after a couple of hours in the bar. Bar service was very slow although the staff were great and very accommodating. Meal was at 8.30pm which was quite late, starters were great, mains were disappointing - husbands steak was very overdone after he requested it to be cooked medium. Waitress was very pleasant and offered another steak but it was very late by this time approx 9.30pm. Breakfast in the morning was great - great choice of food, fresh food available regularly, all food was nice and hot where it needed to be. Really really enjoyed the breakfast. Check in and check out was smooth with no issues - would stay again but would hope for an earlier meal time in the evening.

Very good venue . Rooms were very well appointed with everything that you would need. Meals were delicious from the extensive buffet breakfast to the relaxed dinner in the evenings. Staff were also very helpful with suggestions for things to do around the area. Enjoyed our stay here very much.

The room was wonderful. But we most enjoyed the incredible hospitality of the staff. Every single one helpful and joyful, great compliments to them. If there's one note of attention. At our sink there was one night no other choice tan between hot and extremely hot water. At the shower the water remained relatively cold

An easy place to stay, the food was good, the staff were very pleasant. Our only complaint was that we asked for our heater in the bathroom to be fixed on three separate occasions and it was not seen to.
