I have emailed but have no reply, here is my email which will also be shared on various social media and review sites: Hi Molly, Who can I complain to, for my experience on Friday? Upon arriving at the hotel, there was a repulsive strong smell of cannabis around the room. The smell was so repulsive that we retreated to the downstairs bar and after complaining, we was told that the hotel had thrown the culprits out. The event itself was amazing but about 11pm, we was outside smoking and there was a group telling us that they were staying at the hotel because of an incident at there house, they lived on Langley but the council had put them up.. and a bmw pulled up, parked in the adjacent disabled spot, the driver got out and threw up at the door and they appeared to be dealing drugs - they went in to the building and wasn’t in the bar area afterwards. For a premises that I hold in high regard, we had such a horrid experience that it’s beyond belief. I’m happy to share our experience with support from friends who and acquaintances who were present. Your own staff acknowledged the complaints. Thanks James

I found my stay very easy and everything I needed - it wasn’t made difficult at all. My only bother was when I’d been out all day at a family funeral and my room card didn’t work when I got back I rang reception from my mobile phone twice before somebody came up to let me into my room but to be honest it was hardly the end of the world - maybe they should have had extra staff as the poor guy looked run ragged but was so polite !

« Ever hotel needs an Anna! »

A couple of hiccups with the booking insomuch as I was booked in for 2 x 1 nights as opposed to 2 consecutive nights which meant that I had to book in again on the second night after finding I couldn't access my room, and I had a phone call after I'd gone to bed advising that my card had not been authorised for my second night's meal! Otherwise, the stay was okay. The room was lovely, bed comfortable, lovely bathroom. On the second night I was eating my supper and one of the waitresses (Anna) recognised me from my stay back in August! She came for a chat and remembering that I drank Sauvignon Blanc recommended a wine which was very nice indeed. She is a positive, jolly, energetic and caring individual. In August she stood out due to her customer care and personality. She is efficient also.

From a chip in the wine glass to the random approach to customer service, this hotel never really delivers. Towel rail not working in bathroom & no help from reception. I keep giving this place another chance and it continues to fall short

Check in quick. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Sadly we had no view despite the grounds being beautiful, our room was overlooked so had to keep the curtains closed(room218). The spa was nice, busy but expected on a Saturday,sign displayed stating no phones in the spa but there were 2 men taking pics in the outdoor spa area, no staff around to police this. We had a fabulous meal at the restaurant in the evening. The breakfast was a shambles, one minute bacon came out, 5 minutes later hash browns then 10 minute wait for an egg, so we couldn't put a breakfast together and at £10 each this is not acceptable. Had to ask for a cup of tea and coffee out of machine again not acceptable. Breakfast needs changing to waiter service, especially for a 4* hotel.

After an hour trying to check in due to issues over a gift voucher being valid (which it was). We missed out on using the spa facilities which we were looking forward to using before being booked in for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was great and made up for the hour check in and missing out on the pool. The bar staff were friendly where we spent our evening, and the breakfast provided a good choice. Overall stay was good, just a shame we missed out on the spa facilities

The hotel itself is nice, great breakfast, spacious room and plenty bed options. The only down side of this hotel are the receptionist! They have bad attitude, not very helpful... I was not well informed about the having to register my car for free parking, even if they were signs, it won't be a bad idea if the receptionist had asked just to confirm I have registered my car.. I even called and they were so rude about it. So for this reason I won't be returning to this hotel.

Needed to stay near Rochdale so convenient location. 90 year old mother, my wife and I. I've never known such a complete staff for whom no effort was too much. They were incredibly helpful from start to finish. From reception to housekeeping to bar/restaurant, extras, even maintenance staff got in on the act, nothing was too much trouble. If ever there was a definition of a whole team going the extra mile, it was here. Thank you for such a wonderful stay (4 nights).
