It was good however your staff need to be taught hygiene procedures one staff member was touching his nose and mouth then serving customers without washing his hand and in light of Covid 19 didn’t think this was good.

The hotel is old and not well maintained. The charge paid, over £90, did not reflect value. The 3 windows had seals black from mould and condensation was pooled on the wondow sills so the paint was flaking away. I don't believe anyone could possibly have looked behind the net curtain for a very long time.

My booking was for a week from now, ie in the future, so it's difficult to say how I enjoyed it, especially as I had to cancel due to the virus. Has your software got a virus do you think?

I have not stayed at the Mercure Bristol Holland House. I made bookings for 3 and 5-8 April, as I was expecting to attend a conference in Bristol on 4/5 April and a friend and I who would have been attending the conference wished to stay on in the city for a few days afterwards. Your survey would therefore have been premature as we have not yet reached the dates of the expected stay. However, the conference has been cancelled due to Government directions on Coronavirus, so I cancelled the bookings. Although I booked on the "non-refundable" basis, I submitted a comment form via your website on 18 March stating that, as the cancellation has been due to Government directions, I trust that in the circumstances you will be willing to refund the payment already made. I await a reply.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to sort out a problem that was in no way the hotels fault, I was most impressed, the room was lovely and also very clean the attention to detail was superb.

One of the impact of the government's instructions to cancel all unnecessary trips resulted in my meeting in Bristol being postponed. Appreciating that I booked on a non cancellation deal I eventually (thanks to twitter) got an email to ask whether the booking could be held open (I still have to go to Bristol at some point) or whether we could compromise and split the loss 50%. No answer.... When I return to Bristol it won't be to this hotel.

We stayed one night with our son for his birthday in Bristol. balloons, card and sweets on the bed when we arrived was so nice, our son loved it. We then forgot the code to the room safe and the staff immediately helped resolve the problem. Breakfast was delicious and price was good.

Extremely comfy bed, extra cost for a 6pm check out is the best thing I’ve spent money on at a hotel. AC didn’t really do much but the room was comfortably warm for us.
