The Phoenix suite is located on the ground floor and boasts an additional benefit of access to our internal courtyard garden -perfect for hosting lunches and dinners.

The reception staff were lovely, friendly and sorted out our problem with an upgrade. We didn't use any facilities ie bar/food etc, downstairs looked nice and clean. However, after checking in we found our room and lying on our 'made' bed were 2 of the cleaners! Male and female Deffo not guests as they declined to come down and sort out the issue! We were given a new room and like I said.....all very professional from the'reception staff'. The new room was huge but needed a bit of a deep clean.

I stopped in to the hotel today to do some work, the waitress recognized me and welcomed me warmly. I stayed for lunch and the team again were great. My only comment would be to put some pulled pork in to the Pulled Pork Burrito, it looked and tasted like soggy rice.

We have stayed in this hotel 4 times before and this was the worst experience. A cold privilege room that would not warm up the the old noisy heating system and we were kept awake by noisy other guests who looked like asylum seelers.

I attended the hotel for a conference during winter. The first room I was given was extremely cold and carpets were stained. I was given a heater which did nothing to warm the rooms, after much reluctance from the reception staff I tried 2 further rooms which were also freezing as if I was outdoors and I had to check out before my nights stay because I would not have been able to sleep. The staff were very rude and unhelpful

Our room was cold. Reported and were given small heater, requested another via whatsapp,none came. Offered 4 other rooms to view. 2 as cold, 1 had a very blocked toilet and the 4th was on a corridor with noisy teenagers- we heard other guest complaining. So we hoped the heaters, my husband had to carry another to our room, would work . It did not. I did not sleep. This is a privileged room! The lights fused the first morning , had to dress in dark. Maintenance came for lights-fixed. Were very nice but said they had problems with air conditioning. Only offer a heater. January !Reception staff were friendly and tried to helps us but frankly other guest were also unhappy with the temperature. The staff told us to complain to Secret Escapes, which I have done. Hardly a luxury experience. The breakfast was of very poor quality. Our room was large and clean but ruined by being cold.
