Passenger776572 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

My experience was not bad but was underwhelming since I previously stayed at other Pullman hotels around the world, most recently in Vietnam where the service and everything was great. The staff at Pullman Dongguan Forum is partly trained but partly not trained -- for example: - At the pool, the "lifeguards" kept hovering right were we were swimming which was uncomfortable, not giving us privacy. One of them kept asking me to put on a swimming hat -- that is unnecessary and ridiculous - Room service does not speak English but when I order even in Chinese it's complicated -- it takes a long time to arrive - Front desk workers are sometimes very efficient , e.g. one guy gave me water and umbrella etc very efficiently whereas the next day they made me pay for the extra water and then still forgot to deliver it to the room, so I had to ask again. even then I received different water bottles in sizes.. These things are not huge problems but you do expect more from a Pullman, and I am writing these words with the best intentions. This is because ultimately the hotel's location and the surrounding nature and the intention is to be at least a 4 star hotel, perhaps more, and I hope it will get there but I think the key thing to work on is training of staff and consistency, and perhaps also hiring some more staff since it takes a long time to get things done. i hope to stay here again in the future.

Noisy apartment

During room renovation, Inhad to stay in one appartment at annexe building. Very nicely decorated, but looking to main road, extremly noisy and the bedroom has no windows, feeling no good. Stayed 2 nights and left. I use this hitel since 2014 because no noise, I will not come back until room renovation completed.
