The hotel was exceptionally clean. The single room king bedroom was a little small but the view from the balcony made up for it. The breakfast was phenomenal but the service by the waiters can be improved. They need to give a little more attention to the guests. My wife asked for tea and water twice and the waiter never served it to her. But all the shortcomings were made up by the front desk and concierge staff. Specifically the following: Hussain (at the frontdesk) had welcoming smile during the entire check in process. He even pulled some strings to upgrade our room and let us check-out a little later on a busy day. Alme was also very kind and welcoming. Our son loved her personality and enthusiasm. Adil and Carlo at concierge know how to make things happen. Adil arranged all of our transportation and Carlo got us a car rental delivered to the hotel in no time. Bulbul at the small station made sure we had kava in one hand and a date in the other. These 5 individuals really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. I will never forget them and hope to see them again when I return back to the resort.

Nice hotel; the pool is lovely for children (and adults) to play and paddle around in! The beach/sea area is great to have so conveniently close there too! The location of this hotel is good for people who like adrenaline fuelled, fun activities such as go-karting, indoor skydiving and water parks -all of which (and more) are very close to the Sofitel, and is why we choice to stay there. The hotel breakfasts are extensive. We booked a ground floor suite for easy access to pool and beach; our verandah was pleasant to have with our suite, leading directly onto pool /beach area. This suite gave Club access but we would have preferred to have the choice to pay for Club facilities, as we usually don't have breakfast -so wil order room service for our son. Plus in the evenings we prefer to order drinks and dinner into our room, after our son is asleep, which is why we choose a suite as opposed to one room where it's tricky for him to sleep whilst we dine /relax/watch TV etc.. However breakfast and many snacks throughout the day were all included in our suite fee -along with many other Club benefits which we would have preferred to have had the choice about whether we paid for and used or not. Plus, given that the costs of the Club Lounge were already built into our fee, we would've liked the option of having some -even one- of the Club perks served in our suite i.e. the different snack-type options provided throughout the day were only available in the Club Lounge, which was on the 6th floor. The Lounge was a dull environment for our 5 year old son -whereas he loved our verandah and being able to run around outside our suite on the ground floor /onto the beach etc. Therefore it would have been a huge bonus to have had the choice of Club dining or a snack and drink served in our suite so we could enjoy the verandah ~something like a 'verandah snack /drink' option served in the suites. We had also paid more for the ground floor suite then the higher floor suites, so being able to make more use of the verandah would've been ideal. Despite this inclusion that we would've preferred to have had more options towards, overall we did enjoy our stay in this Sofitel hotel suite. One further point worth mentioning: -We arrived during the Friday brunch -it was too loud to check in downstairs. We were all very uncomfortable with the excessively loud noise -which actually made our ears hurt and our voices sore from trying to speak over it. The woman addressing us could not hear me and my voice was sore from trying to communicate with her so she could hear me. Eventually we opted to check-in upstairs in the Club Lounge, due to the noise in the main entrance of the hotel, where check in's usually take place. We had opted to not check in online, because we wanted to ask a few questions during check-in and speak with the hotel staff. However, this turned out to be highly uncomfortable to attempt to do in the main entrance /check-in area. If we did not have the option of going upstairs to the lounge we would have been even more appalled with this environment of checking in -with such uncomfortably loud music /noise from the Friday Brunch.

Not bad, but not good as well. As a LeClubAccor member, I dis not get access to any benefits. This is not acceptable even if you have a special rate for the CCEF. If I knew it before, I would have taken another option. In addition: There was no Laundry Form in the room, I did not receive a full invoice, but only the invoice related to extra expenses, and I need to request it. This time consuming and I don't have time for that.

« Great weekend with the family »

First time and I’ll definitely come back. Myself and my family experienced a super high level of service and quality helping us to spent a great weekend. Brunch was amazing with lots of options for food and drinks as well as great life music. Facilities are really good and it is well set to take care of kids. Kids place where they can stay under full supervision while you have a drink. Great splash park for kids right next to playground. Beach was great, clear water, soft sand and a bar as well as a bar inside of the pool. We were also welcomed to the lounge where you can have complementary breakfast, snacks, coffee and happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. Overall a 5 start stay.

If I'll listen to myself I may write a book or two of things I liked at Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa. I came with my wife booking the standard room without breakfast. And, here it comes the surprise! On checking in I've been told that we we're chosen as guests of the day so they gave us upgrade to the room and complimentary access to the VIP club, breakfast, and other activities. In general, the resort was higher than expected staff were very friendly and helpful especially "Almae" in the club at the 6th floor, I realy thank her for her help and professionalism in a positive way. Got the room prepared for honeymooners with flowers sweets Breakfast was excellent in general but two comments the waffles wasn't good enough for me and the chocolate souce was Nutella personally I didn't neither my wife did Thanks a lot for the kind and great services hope to see you soon again
