Perfect for an executive conference of up to 30 delegates. The Chardonnay Room has abundance of natural light and opens out onto a garden terrace area. In total we booked 4 rooms at the Mecure 3 for Thursday 12-14 and 1 for Friday 13-14. This booking was for myself and my bridal party to stay the night before and then the night of our wedding. When checking in on Thursday the people next to us at the front desk were complaining of mouldy curtains this wasnt exactly a great start and I could tell the receptionist was trying to distract me from hearing their conversation. When we got to our rooms first thing we checked was the curtains we didnt have mouldy curtains thankfully a few questionable stains and a random large claw hairclip had been left behind attached to the curtain (although guests of our wedding who also stayed in other rooms here did have mouldy curtains) the rooms were certainly smaller than expected and very poorly lit with only 1 down light and dull bedside lamps in each room and 2 other downlights that didn't work in the twin rooms, the king room was marginally better with an extra wall light. The glassware in all of our rooms were filthy not dusty but actually dirty with lip marks still present this was disgusting and completely unacceptable. okay maybe if this was just in one room it could be chalked up to an oversight but EVERY ROOM WE HAD BOOKED the glasses were dirty. There were large dusty cobwebs in the corners of the rooms that just shows no care or pride is taken in the cleaning of the rooms. Of the 4 rooms the first had 2 complimentary bottle's of water in the fridge and milk the second only had milk and the third had nothing at all. I didn't even bother to look at the 4th. The showerheads were rusted and looked like they needed a serious clean and lacked any sort of decent water pressure and the toilet ran all night long. The screen doors were filthy and covered in dead bugs. I get it you are near the gardens so that means more bugs - I read your little note in the room but it just feels like there is then zero care about trying to maintain the rooms to any sort of standard. Id expect this from a dodgy cabin in the middle of nowhere... I was embarrassed to have my wedding party stay here and to have suggested this hotel to my guests and them waste their money on rooms like this too because they all had similar feedback and experiences. If I could have I would have cancelled the booking and stayed elsewhere this definitely had to be the worst component of my wedding.

Overall happy with our stay unhappy that we booked & paid for 2 superior king rooms & were separated from our friends. We were in room 504 while they were in 102 which did not look like our room at all so wonder if the room they were in was the same price and we may be due a refund of the difference. Also after we booked in our friends asked if they could move rooms to be closer to us and were told no as it was full yet we never saw a car or person in any of the rooms across from us.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of room, a nice terrace and a large bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first evening and it was very good, although a small menu. The staff were lovely, and Sarah was great, very helpful and friendly.

Room was nice and staff were mostly friendly. The girl in the breakfastroom of a morning who checked if we had a booking did have a bit of an attitude. Other than that girls at bar and front desk were lovely.

Excellent location, beautiful reception, dinning room & breakfast room, the entire area has gorgeous country feel to it very welcoming. The only slightly disappointing thing about the Mecure was the rooms, we've been gone back to hotel over the last 10yrs plus years & the rooms are now looking sad they are in much need of a face lift. The rest of the place is still beautiful especially the gardens which are very well maintained. So should be the rooms. Not with screen doors falling off, leaking shower screens, no where to hang towels in the bathroom, & no house keeping on our second day. A bit disappointing.

The staff were good, but very apparent not enough staff to cater for the people in the bar and restaurant. The hotel lacked on expectation. No beer on tap, no happy hour, ran out of wine glasses at night I neede to reuse existing glass. Asked to make decision on desert when we initially ordered we were told because of a big group coming at 8. At 8 that group had not arrived. S I ms the needs of the individual bypassed for the many. The room we initially were given was riddled with mould on all the curtains, the replacement room was better, but no hot water for showers. The restaurant tables were covered in butchers paper over the table cloths. We were ver rushed in restaurant and not offered another drink. The place is very tired with broken furniture in the lounge.

room 903 no wifi, screen door on back the front and upside down phone did not work to reception or room service went up to restaurant to try and book "full" try room service or the hotel down the road was the advice could not get room service so went to the pub down the road it is over rated we have stayed at this site and recommended it to friends and family I recommended it to my daughter and son in law and they gave us a gift voucher for the trials and tribulations we have had over the last few years

Lovely hotel. WiFi inconsistent. TV didn’t work but in saying that the service man was prompt and friendly to fix the problem.

Item of clothing was left in the cupboard and once I realized I had left it there after checking out, I contacted the hotel but received no assistance in locating the item. I made a special trip back to the hotel the following morning but was again not assisted, with the advice that the item had not been found. There was no further consideration of my plight and I received no response from management in the week that followed to explain what could have happened and what actions I could take to escalate my situation. This experience has totally ruined my expectations of an Accor property.

I enjoyed my stay however was disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. We had a layer of dusk on our bed side table and chunks of hair in the shower drain. Additionally we tried to order room service. Their were no instructions as to how and after speaking to two different staff members on the phone we were able to work out that we were meant to download an app.. even though those were not the instructions provided by the staff member in the kitchen. Our plates were left outside our room as directed but we’re not collect until lunchtime the next day. That was after before woken three times by birds and other animals eating the crumbs off the plates. Our room was not made up the next day either.

Very peaceful stay at a time that was very wet and cool. Lovely restaurant onsite. Particularly economical for Accor members as discounts apply in the restaurant. Comfortable, clean room, older style country feel, good Wi-fi and TV. Staff very helpful. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

For a Mercure Resort this hotel is overpriced and underserviced. Little attention to Accor Plus membership. Restaurant not available on arrival. We certainly were left wanting for the service we usually find at other Mercure Hotels. It is tired and under maintained.
