Our family were guests at the hotel on 2 separate occasions. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport (but not too close). The employees are true professionals! We were made to feel welcome, and the service was top notch. The food at the restaurant was fabulous. We found the lobby and lounge area to be very cozy and warm. Overall, we had a good experience, and we would definitely stay there again.

Should provide shuttle bus on request or call

Dear Nerijus T., Thank you for the recent stay and feedback. I am happy with your feedback and would like to explain why we do not offer a shuttle bus. I understand your point about the free shuttle bus, but in many cases this service is also paid, shared between up to 3 properties and/or only run once every 40 minutes whereby places are not guaranteed. Next to this I trust you appreciate there is no such thing as a free shuttle. The cost of running such a service is up to roughly €300.000,00 a year and these costs are always build in to the room rate you pay as a guest. Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport takes pride in holding a Gold-Status on the Green Key. Green Key is an international quality mark for companies in the tourism and recreation industry who do their utmost is reducing the ecological footprint of their businesses. For example; we keep our own bees, have moss on the roofs of our banqueting rooms for isolation and we reuse as much of our energy. We offer the Green-option to skip room cleaning for which guests are awarded with a €5,00 voucher. As such, many guests tell us they feel we offer a better product for a lower price than similar hotels. Next to that we have also created a "Novotel Transit App" available in all App stores which gives quick and easy access to real time travel info and also is a great travel tool for the 20 minute train trip to Amsterdam Central Station or any of the other highlights in the region. That being said i do hope that you can appreciate the effort that we put in to stay as environmentally friendly as possible. If we do not take care of our planet, who will? I hereby hope that i have cleared things up a little bit as to why we do not offer a shuttle bus to and from the airport. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Nice stay as usual - still hoping that hotel guests could get a better discount at the adjacent park+ride facility - even "inclusive stay in the hotel rate" :) Last time there was coffee capsules available for the Illy machine in the "Junior Suite" - this time no more - why the difference?

The room was very nice and spacious, Great friendly, helpful and hospitable staff especially Sarah (front desk supervisor) and her attention to detail......great. Stayed here more often but this stay was the best so far. The friendliness. attention to details the overal atmosphere and the overal feel were even better then ever. It’s the little things that made this stay great.

When traveling to/via Amsterdam airport, the Novotel in Hoofddorp is my prefered hotel for (before and during Corona times). The rooms are very modern, clean, super quiet (no airport noise) and the bed is very comfortable. The location is very convenient: 4 min / one stop by train from AMS airport, 3 min walk from train station. The staff is super nice, very efficient and professional - great job in handling all challenges of the current Corona-situation.

significant amount of house dust mite in the room

Het spijt ons te horen dat uw verblijf niet aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan; hiervoor willen wij u dan ook onze oprechte excuses aanbieden. Naar aanleiding van uw feedback heb ik het team gevraagd uw kamer te checken en nogmaals grondig te schoon te maken/te stofzuigen. Ik hoop dat u bereid bent ons bij een volgend bezoek aan de regio nog een kans te geven. I've stayed at the hotel several times, mainly because it is conveniently located in the business district next to Hoofddorp station. The premises are also quite nice and in principle the hotel has everything that one needs. During recent stays, the quality in service has declined. Despite their ALLSAFE program for better hygiene regulations, there have e.g. been visible stains on the walls next to the bed. What was worse, though, was the unforgivably unfriendly atmosphere at the breakfast buffet on my last day. This was due to the staff choosing to have their argument (about one team member not contributing enough) in public so that most people wanting to enjoy their breakfast in peace could hear. This is definitely not how I wish to spend my morning. Additionally, the breakfast is really overpriced and the early-COVID model of paying less for just cold breakfast would be a welcome reintroduction. In the future, I will sincerely consider taking the extra walk from hotels further away.

We've also spoken to our breakfast crew and made it perfectly clear to them that it is unacceptable to have these types of arguments in front of our guests, which they understood. As such, I trust this will not happen again. Finally, please let me know which items you feel should be added to the breakfast in order to make it good value for money again. We are serving all warm items, fresh orange juice, fruitsalad and plenty of other options and if you feel anything is missing then I will of course discuss this with our Executive Chef. Also, please do email me via fl… next time you need a room in our area so that I can offer you a free upgrade to a nice suite as an apology for this not so good experience. The guest is not "regognized". They dont seem to see your previous stays in the system. Nice view but the window is very dirty. Also rooms cleaned but far from perfect. A bottle of water free per stay, if its one night or a week Very expensive Parking (not provided from the Hotel) - no other parking possibilites outside

At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Could you please be so kind as to what it is that you find substandard about the cleaning? A simple reply to this email should suffice. This way we can keep improving our service level. With regards to the parking, we also wish it was different and that we could facilitate a free parking ticket. However, the parking garage is not part of the hotel or the Novotel brand. If you ask one of our colleagues at reception to stamp your ticket prior to going to the payment machines as indicated on the signs in the parking the cost are Euro 14,88 per 24 hours which equals 61 cents per hour which in our opinion is a fair rate for a third party covered (Novotel is not the proprietor) and secured car park at just 20 minutes from downtown Amsterdam. We feel that this price is really fair. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Personnel wants to make a difference. In the reservation I mentioned that this stay was for our honeymoon anniversary. In our room we found a nice box of local cookies, heart shaped rose-petals on the bed and a handwritten note congratulating us with our anniversary. Nice! The room was up to date, clean and comfortable.
