I often stay in this hotel when travelling on business. Unfortunately this time, I was left disappointed. They had recently changed catering and the breakfast was terrible. Very little to chose from and everything was luke warm. Used to be such a good place for breakfast. Not sure I will add breakfast to my room again if I stay here again.

I only stayed one night for transfer to my country. But I certainly have to recommend better cleaning in the room, apparently it looks very well, but if you look carefully for example the washbasin was not well cleaned, this hole in front of the person, below the faucet was extremely dirty like if in months it was not cleaned at all and it is very easy just with a small brush. Also on the top of the washbasin it was not very clean, and one of the small tables besides the bed, the same, like if somebody put there a cup of coffee and the stains were never cleaned. You need to be carefull with a hotel of that category.

« Good location, very close to the train station. »

Stuff are friendly, helpful. Breakfasts can be a little more varied. The lighting during breakfast times is very insufficient, it feels like I'm eating dinner. Better lighting will lead to a much better mood.

The only complaint I have is with the barman: I complained the Irish coffee was not made properly and he replied in a non professional way saying that was not true and that I would have needed to pay for it anyhow. I was with a group of people and all said that was NOT an Irish coffee, but the barman said he did it like that and none complained before so he was charging it to me anyhow even if I asked for changing it. The Irish coffee was even without the typical creamy foam! The barman has shown a very bad attitude vs clients, was not sympathetic at all and was rather rude

I frequently visit Hoofddorp and always try to stay at the Novotel. As usual the staff were great and I had an enjoyable stay. The only thing that was disappointing was that the shower drain wasn't working well and water spilled onto the bathroom floor.
