There is nothing to fault this hotel from start to finish of my duration. From every individual team within the complex (Concierge, Reception, Restaurant, HouseKeeping), they are pleasant, friendly and professional but appear to keep their own personalities which makes a huge difference when interacting with them daily. The hotel is clean; seeing regular maintenance and for any needs within the room, the staff are there within minutes. Out of context from my review, I would recommend that By The Blue restaurant revise their food menu prices. Being a British Expat, I know that some of the top restaurants around India would not blow some of the menu prices too far out of the water... Saying that, it was a damn good meal and did enjoy the overall experience!

Stayed at Grand Mercure Bangalore for 2 weeks and it has been wonderful experience. All of the staff I interacted with has been very professional, polite, and helpful. Room I stayed was with 1 bedroom, everything was clean and well maintained. I had breakfast at the hotel everyday, they had good mix of Indian and western breakfast selection, I particularly enjoyed their drink selections which seems to change everyday. All of the restaurant staff were very tentative and quick. I would normally venture out on food places but breakfast at Grand Mercure was such a great experience, I did not bother trying to find another breakfast location thruout my 2 week stay. I had dine-in dinner and room service few times, food was very good and overall service was consistently pleasing. Another service i used alot from the hotel was laundry service. I would leave bag of laundry in my room with signed laundry order form, and it's cleaned/ironed/folded by the time I come back from work which was very convenient. Shower was another highlight for me, water temperature was adjustable to high temp (I like hot shower, which is hard to get in American hotels for some reason) and there was plenty of water coming thru the shower head (again, it's rare to see this in American hotel for some reason). Only thing I wish it was different about the room is lack of screen door to the balcony. Weather was perfect in Bangalore in early January. At night, i wanted to leave balcony door open but because there was no screen door, bugs would come in. I ended up tying curtain so it does not create any space for bugs to come in which was minor inconvenience.

« Friendly, quiet, enjoyable and pleasant ambiance with my family. »

My second stay. Great place for a family stay. Surrounding ambiance was great and very quiet. The room was complete with adequate facilities. Room service was very good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. That is what makes us come back. The food at the restaurant was well spread and tasty. All request was accommodated. Ms. Susan was always pleasant and looked into my son's request. Check-in & out were smooth. Overall, we enjoyed our 8 days at the hotel. My son truly enjoyed his time at the hotel. What more a nice neighborhood park where he had good playtime and interaction with other kids.

« Better than my expectations »

Overall the stay arrangement and breakfast choice are good. I have following suggestions There were some Muruku and banana kept as welcome snacks. Muruku need a shrink wrapping or air tight container to stay crisp. It was not crisp at all. Either make it air tight or change the snack. There were too many plug points where there in the room. But all of them are European. You need to provide UK charging option where ever you have 2 plugs. One in each in the tables and the other next to the bed. My colleagues suffered since we use only UK plug devices in UAE. Rest all ok.

Been staying in Mercure in Koramangala since 2014. Been one of my top properties for any occasion. All my birthday's have been spent here. This current stay was great, every thing was well accommodated by the team. One call out that I've always had is that the food at the property , especially in room late night can drastically improve. Keep a select menu but ensure its spot on.

From the speedy check-in, to the well-appointed room, to the delicious buffet breakfast - outstanding service is the hallmark of this hotel. This was my 17 stay and as always, everything was perfect! The rooms are maintained in spotless condition, the reception desk and restaurant staff are super-attentive, the screening of visitors and luggage makes it a safe place to stay, the tree-lined residential neighborhood provides an elegant, quiet home away from home! Overall, my time spent at the Grand Mercure in Bangalore was very good. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and they check in with you often. The room was comfortable and clean, and I had a good view even from the 1st floor. The restaurants were good, too. The only negative issue was that I was given short notice via email that the hotel wanted to move me to a new room during my stay due to some pre-planned construction. I wished they had let me know further in advance or that they would have noticed that my stay was supposed to end the day after I was supposed to move so that they could have put me in a different room to begin with. I ended up packing all of my items to accommodate the move, and then I was told at the front desk that the move had been delayed, so my pre-packing had been a waste of time. Aside from the above, everything else about the stay was great.

I appreciate the hotel desk manager handling my laundry on an exception basis. Thank you. I really think that the laundry rule should be changed to be less rigid so that it is cumulative and not limited to just 2 pieces per day.
