Staff were very friendly. But the room condition could hv been improved a bit to meet the IBIS standard.

Advised to charge card in chineses yuan and do not charge in sgd, but still charged in sgx,,,,,Why?

Improvement needed for cleanliness at dust and dirt were found on the bedside table; strong cigarette smell!!

Hello, I recently stayed three nights at your Xiamen-Kaiyuan location. Unfortunately, I left a cell phone in the room when I checked out. Also unfortunate was that when my friend called the hotel several hours later, the employee had no record of a phone having been found. When they tried calling the phone, it had been turned off. Please emphasize for the benefit of future guests (who will not include me), that the cleaning staff should concentrate on wiping the dead mosquitos off the wall; sweeping up the fingernail clippings on the floor; remembering to replace the towels with clean ones that don't smell of tobacco, and focus less on customer valuables. Room 109 could use a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. There is an unpleasant smell lingering in the room, and the bathroom has some obvious odor and hygiene issues by itself. The phone that has gone missing is not particularly valuable, but your guests expect a measure of basic decency in these matters. Harry S.

I have stayed at this hotel previously and rated the rooms more than satisfactory. But you should avoid any rooms on level 1. I stayed this time in room 103, a dog box, there was no hot water and it was very very noisy. Compliments to the night shift employee Stephanie who was very helpful with directions.

We stayed for 2 nights. Room wasnt swiped or mopped after 1st night. Reception staff did not know sufficient english and rooms were stinking badly through out our stay.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Toilet: Maintenance needed;Rubber lining at shower screen missing and broken tiles at threshold to be replaced to avoid guest getting cut. Improvement if possible. Buffet breakfast : with fried egg and coffee with milk. thanks

Premise old & un-kept, poor repair state, smelly, poor hygiene, poor air quality, air conditioning insufficient, very uncomfortable stay.

Friendly and Helpful staff, will stay there again on my return.

stayed there for a week from May 11 to May 17. The location could not be any better, as others had already mentioned. Service was excellent, front desk staff simply superb. Room was very clean and small (expected, so no surprise here) . Only complain is that shower stall contains mold due to humidity. But this should be corrected. Overall, would recommend to others if location is important.

recently stayed at this hotel for a week. The location was simply excellent - close to railway station, Wu Chun bus terminal, under 2 minutes walking distance to Walmart, Tesco, Robinson Galleries, and a few more big department stores and shopping centers. Front desk staffs very helpful and pleasant. Only downside is the room size (but expected as for most Ibis hotels) and molds in shower stall (not sure if this is only our room) else room is very clean. Would be nice if there's a mini fridge available.
