Great value and location but during February 2020 construction outside made the street a mud bath and virtually impassable. Also late at night the area became questionable.

everything went fine. the only issue were the roadworks and the hotel was not so easy to access by foot. The manager gave us a room on the other side of the hotel to get a more quiet setting, which I really appreciated.

This wasn’t what I had expected from a Mercure hotel. We waited on the street outside for the door to be unlocked for several minutes after ringing the bell when we arrived in the afternoon. The staff were lacking in customer service and were rarely visible in reception or the bar. There was very little local information or knowledge. For the price we paid I would expect a higher level of service. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean.

Badly located, unsafe area

The entire road infront of the hotel was under construction, it was pure mud and there were no wodden planks or anything provided to give the guests the possibility to walk with suitcases and not to get entirely dirty and muddy. The personal seemed indifferent when I asked what would be the best way to Midi station given the current situation and didnt really care. The only answer I received was sorry, we dont know. There is nothing we can do. The area behind the station, where the hotel is located is even worse than the rest of Midi area, dirty, unsafe and simply not acceptable for a hotel which charges 140 Euros a night for a single room.

Dust mites everywhere

I suffer from allergy to dust mites, as many other people do. Your hotel has wall-to-wall carpets almost everywhere, you have a serious mite infestation, and you do not seem to care about possible carpet treatments or anti-mites carpets (they do exist). My allergy was never triggered so hard.

At the time of arrival the reception desk was unmanned. I would presume that the receptionist is at reception. The same happened in the bar. I had to ring the bell in reception to receive service in the bar. Although I had ordered a drink and something to eat no one came to check during my time in the bar. Consequently I didn’t order anything else.

Friendly and relatively efficient staff. Comfortable rooms. Adequate snack availability, but would have preferred restaurant. Drinks are expensive . Through no fault of hotel access was rendered ridiculously and dangerously difficult by the insane provision of totally uneven, unmade and slippery narrow pedestrian pathway for 60 metres from the metro end. Where was the Anderlecht Heakth and Safety Officer? One old lady slipped and fell in front of us.

Overall it is good.....some issues i faced were- Locker safe not working - so had to change room Light Lamps not working properly Breakfast have no options for customised dishes- a major drawback

The stay was ok but the traffic outside makes it noisy. There could be a better acoustic insulation. The room is outdated and could be refurbished (leather of the chair totally cracked).

Even though, I put the DND card on the door and told the staff that I do not need cleaning, they got into my room. They opened the curtains and window. It disturbed me. Apart from that, the room is spacious and clean. The towels are in good condition. It is 15-20 minutes walking distance to the center and very close to train station.

Experience was as pleasant as it can be from the moment we set foot inside till the very end. Staffs were very cooperative and extremely courteous. Especially the gentle man at reception front desk on day of check in. He was very understanding - offered to heat the milk for my young son in the microwave oven present in kitchen. He did not hesitate to repeat this help to heat food when we asked again. We are extremely happy about the hospitality extended by each and every staff of this hotel. Facilities were just great. I can go on and on. but dont wish to bore anybody reading this :) .... everybody deserves a raise.
