Relaxing stay albeit a little noisy due thin walls. Common problem in most ibis hotels. Staff attentiveness and very clean rooms outweighed the noise.

The hotel do not have bell boys to fetch your luggage during the check out and check in. In addition they are very rigid in accepting security money by means of credit card guarantee or in Thai Bhat but i was offered freedom of depositing money in INR during our saty in Mercure Makassan and IBIS Krabi. The packed breakfast requested by us was also in very small quantity. Only excellent service was the travel desk managed by Mr. dean who used to offer competitive price for sight seeing and airport transfer.

The reception staff and especially the reception manager have the most disgusting customer service I have ever received. I have worked for Qantas airways for over 8 years and I’ll ensure all colleagues/friends and family/reviews will understand how disrespectful and rude this team is. I was travelling with my 4 month child for the first time and they made the experience absolute hell for me and my family. Demanded to speak to the front desk managers and she just laughed and smiled at us while explaining our hurt and disappointment (I was crying due to the stress and tiredness from travelling for 30 hours) to be greeted by May and the reception manager who had ZERO compassion or empathy. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I’ll be contacting all corporate contacts to have ibis reviewed as a Partner due to their due to their inconsideration. We are industry staff, so we’d hate to see how they treat full paying customers. We ended up booking chanalai (we stayed with them last year) and we now wonder why we didn’t book them in the first place. Maybe send the ibis manager to a chanalai resort so she can understand how to treat a customer.!! We have been treated like king and queen there and will continue to stay with them and back them 100% as they ate better staff and better facilities all round. Will never book ibis again!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were absolutely wonderful. We both had a bout of gastro, and they rang the Dr to come to us, and showed genuine concern for our welfare, which we appreciated very much. Re premises, we felt more fans in number, AND working in the foyer would provide more comfort for guests. Lift foyers to rooms could use some plants/greenery or artwork, as very austere and unattractive. The pool area is terrific, and the supply if big towels is convenient.

Nothing special. We reserved for family room, with bunk bed, children max 12 yo. I did ask if it is ok if one of my kid is 14 yo. No reply from my reservation when inquire if this is ok. At last, ok for my 14yo daughter to join in the room and pay additional adult breakfast for her. Room was smelly like long time no use (humid) Our room is at the end of the aisle and we passed lots of empty messy room (notice this coz the doors are open). Quite scary, seems we’re the only guest occupied room in this floor. we were requested for room change but since some of the room facilities have been used such as toilet, beds(kids been jumped into the bed) hence, room change not allowed since hotel, must get another clean up on this. Since we were only staying for 2 nights, don’t seems changing room is good idea. Good thing was, we spending most of the days out of the hotel, so we don’t really bothered.

« Professional and courteous staff, plus comfortable room at a good price. »

Very good staff in all departments from the moment of check in to check out. Room was comfortable and sufficient for our needs, only drawback was a constant stream of small ants in the bathroom, even though we tried to keep the area as dry as possible. Small balcony was a bonus for drying towels. The breakfast was monotonous with hardly any variation during our 5 night stay, and what was available favoured Chinese tastes more than most other ethnic groups. The swimming pool was clean and sun loungers were enough for number of guests there. Ample car parking available.

A friendly welcome, nice room with good wifi and a relaxing stay at the IBIS Kata hotel. The hotel is just ten minutes walk from the beach, we enjoyed eating seafood at the local markets and restaurants every night of our stay. Thank you to the friendly staff for some wonderful towel art.

Our stay in IBIS Phuket Kata was enjoyable with the serene atmosphere and quiet surroundings. Despite the lack of sports facilities, we had a cool dip in the clean swimming pool that adds to the other activities at Kata beach and Phi Phi island - snorkelling and swimming. Location for food is very convenient, further more with helpful ticketing agent for local tour nearby.
