Not that clearly signposted for driving from centre ville. Had to go past and 'U' turn and then managed to find parking at rear on road. Parking metered from 8am - 7pm but Meter machine not easy to understand to a foreign visitor with little French. There is no signage for the Restrictions - the Hotel reception had to tell us, Entrance to Hotel not obvious, we were confused, as were a number of people arriving, not knowing quite where the Entrance was. Better signage needed IBIS ENTRANCE HERE on the door to what seems to be a restaurant. I take it the Reception desk is a temporary affair due to Covid. Also a bit confused at having to make decision there and then for our petite dejeuner choices on a piece of paper and the time we wanted it. Facilities OK otherwise but would have appreciated being told how the WiFi worked as no paperwork or instructions in the room. Quiet, comfortable and ameniable staff. Petite dejuener served on a tray you take to your room. Either you collect your individual tray or someone makes more than one journey !!! Found it very handy for access to local Hospitals.

When we arrived we received a not friendly welcome. The room had badly stained carpet and had not been dusted properly for a long time. There was no information in the room and no one told us that there was no aircon much needed. The breakfast was a joke the only fresh fruit was apples that were put out each day even though they were past their best. We had to ask for basic items the coffee machine did not work. The staff at breakfast were not interested only not wanting to put out items. We only stayed because there was a lady working on reception from another hotel who was really good and could not had done more for us. The rest did not give a dam . We stay in ibis very often and at the ibis style at chartres which is very good. Why should we return to an accor hotel

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There were dead bugs and mosquitos squashed into the walls. The carpets must not have been cleaned for at least 10 years. The air conditioning was broken and the shower flooded the bathroom floor when you used it. It was so hot I barley slept. The only good thing was the breakfast.

- Informed upon arrival that air-conditioning was out of order during an extremely hot weather episode (40°C degrees outside). It was too late to book something else. - we had to open the windows during the night to breath: very noisy and busy street making it impossible to sleep. - run-down facility and rooms : shower was not functioning properly with water temperature varying from boiling hot to cold every 5 seconds. - Very poor breakfast : extremely disappointed with the quality considering we did not book an Ibis Budget but aimed for a higher end Ibis Styles. - Staff: some were really friendly and understanding but some couldn't care less: rude and unwelcoming AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have tested numerous Ibis and Ibis Styles hotels around the globe and have always been satisfied. This one was the WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had.

The hotel is nice and the staff are welcoming. However, we were deeply deceived by the management because we booked 3 nights before and the moment we arrived we were informed there was no air conditioning. What really shocked us is that when we asked to change hotels (because no rooms at Ibis styles had air conditioning) we were charged extra at the other hotel, knowing that the initial problem was ibis styles. It would have been great if we were informed before we arrived that there is a problem of air conditioning, or to at least not to be charged when we changed our hotel to ibis centre meriadeck. Very disappointed with the way a refined and well reputed hotel handles their customer service and loyalty.

When we arrived, we were told the A/C wasn't working so we slept with a fan on and the window opened onto a very busy street. I think the customers should have been told beforehand, as it turns out that major work needed to be done on the A/C and management knew about it but did not inform customers. Personally, i would have liked the choice to book elsewhere as slept badly for 3 nights. I understand thst new safety measures would affect some services but Breakfast was not good at all . Plastic ham , Plastic cheese , limited fruit etc.... We went to the restaurant in the Hotel twice. The first time, we thought it was mediocre and we made the mistake of going a second time!

There is no air-conditioning in the room there is problem technique that the receptionist informed us upon arrival but they didn't manage to solved the problem we have to open the window the whole night and it's very noisy outside but we don't have choice bcoz the room is very hot.I thought ibis style is better than ibis budget but unfortunately not it's better ibis budget.

Good location for Hospital and Bordeaux centre

The location is very good for the Hospital Pellegrin and access to Bordeaux centre and links to airport and station. The hotel is clean and bright and the the staff (which appear to have been drastically cut since my last stay here) . In fact we only spoke to two members of staff - the receptionist and the room maid. There seems to have been a cost-cutting program since our last stay. Reduced common seating area, no reception desk. No free coffee stand in the reception area, the Wi-Fi station has been pushed into a little corridor. Perhaps it has been disconnected? I didn't try it. The rooms have suffered from the same cost cutting exercise. The pillows were more like cushions, there were no glasses just paper cups. The towels were small. The shower leaked all over the floor due to poor design. Only one bottle of water provided despite room being booked for two people. The room was small and very hot and stuffy. Ugly artex walls and ceiling. The air-conditioning didn't work so one couldn't cool the room. This was February I cannot imagine what it would be like in the height of summer. Well, actually I can, I stayed in the sister Ibis Meriadeck in the summer two years ago and the air conditioning didn't work then either. In summary, the room felt like a cross between a prison cell and student accomodation. Just unwelcoming and austere. We stayed at the Premier Inn at Gatwick the night before for approximately the same price and it was a completely different experience. Perhaps your accountant and marketing people should visit it to understand how a low cost hotel should be run. Sadly I will not stay in an Ibis hotel again.

This is a basic hotel. You get what you pay for. It is clean, comfortable and easily accessible, located at some distance from the centre of Bordeaux but with good public transport access. Service is generally reasonable, but our visit was spoiled by an instance of slow, totally disinterested service, which left a bad-taste. We visit Bordeaux often. Doubt we'll stay here again!

When we arrive around 1.00 p our room was ready, but surprised to see there was a renovation work going on at the main entrance. One thinks why such kind of work is scheduled in the mid July. The room had some food smell most probably coming through the air conditioning system. The bathroom had a bath tub, however it was not really looking satisfactory due to its age. The same was true for the mattress. The breakfast was good, especially fresh real orange juice was a treat.

The room window did not lock and the noise from the street can be heard in the room. We tried changing rooms but other rooms had old mattresses - we usually stay at the IBIS Style because of the comfortable mattresses. The hotel needs an uplifting - it is not the usual IBIS Style standard I am used to or expect. The staff however was very cordial, friendly and helpful.

The outside-of-centre location was not a problem, as it is less than two minutes walk to the tram station and the trams run frequently; journey time to the city centre was under ten minutes. The room was fairly spacious, relative to other hotels we have stayed at in France. Housekeeping kept the room spotless throughout our four nights stay. The two big drawbacks for us were having no tea & coffee making facilities in the room and no in-room valuables safe. The breakfast was the usual buffet (predominantly cold items), which we found to be OK. We found the Reception staff to be helpful when we requested assistance.

Rooms are nothing to rave about and bathroom is quite small, but for 1 person is fine. Breakfast quality and average was a lot better than I expected. Tram stop is within easy walking distance so easy journey to city or airport.

Spacious room overlooking Bordeaux. Friendly welcome with little gifts on the room ( candy, two bottles of water ). Comfortable beds, good shower. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Not far from the city center.
