« Very bad evening / Très mauvaise soirée »

Old-fashioned hotel, bad room lighting & especially the crappy bathroom. Reservation of a two-bed room, but only gave one-bed double at the finish, too late for change. Accustomed to the Ibis Style Hotel, it really needs an upgrade to the group Accor standards Hôtel vieillot, éclairage de la chambre & surtout la salle de bain minable. Réservation d’une chambre à deux lits, hôtel complet un seul grand lit imposé. Buffet with very limited choice, sour & hard butter croissants. Habitué aux Hôtel Ibis Style, celui-ci a vraiment besoin d’une remise à niveau pour se rehausser aux standard Accor.

« Correct hotel »

Very well situated it has now a restaurant next door. The room is good as well as the bath room which needs maybe some refurbishing The personnel is very kind and helpfull. We will be back some time in the future

Hotel has a good location.car park too small now that the new restaurant is there.The restaurant is a definite added benefit.Staff very helpful and pleasant.

jThe Hotel staff were very welcoming - which was must appreciated on our arrival at midnight! The room was clean and quiet even with the main road outside. The breakfast was plentiful and a good variety. Check-in and out were speedy.

« Dissapointed. »

We were very disappointed to find that the excellent restaurant in the hotel had been closed and replaced by a Courtepaille, serving the same synthetic flavoured, boring menu in the same soulless atmosphere as all the other hundreds of identical establishments throughout the country. The disappointment was compounded by the fact that we had spent the previous night in another Ibis hotel,in the north, which had also had its restaurant taken over by the same company. Has it not occurred to the Accor group that people might find it rather tiresome eating from the same bland menu at each of their hotels as they travel through France. Needless to say, we shall reluctantly not be staying at this hotel again.

« Inadequate address »

The address on our booking form was used in our SatNav which resulted in us failing to find the hotel. Eventually we visited the train station to be told that the correct address was 3 Rue Armand Sourie. When we eventually arrived at the hotel tired and hungry we were told that the error was known! Unbelievable. Having always used Campanile in the past, our first experience of Ibis was very poor.

« Comfortable stay, couple of (resolved) problems »

Hotel was nice. The parking is shared between two Ibis hotels, and a Courte Paille restaurant, so parking is fine if you arrive before the restaurant opens, or after it closes. On check-in, the helpful receptionist gave us a lovely room, but sadly the sink leaked and the bathroom floor was wet. Moved us to a bigger, quieter room, which was fine, but with temperamental air conditioning. We had to get the receptionist to come and look, and he pointed out that the switch that detects whether the window is open was fussy. But other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast was good.

« Breakfacts buffet not as one would expect today »

Good : Air conditioning in room, but actually very noisy though did mange to sleep through it. Bad : Child's bed was not a single size - no bigger than a sleeping bag width. Not suitable for a 10 year old. Very bad : Breakfast buffet - no gluten free options (first time we had this issue in an IBIS hotel); fresh fruit looked like it was 4 days old; no dry fruit options; one jar of Nuttela (not separate sachets) which had clearly had many other kids knives in it and was almost completely empty; ham looked like it came straight out of a plastic packet; no egg options - worse breakfast buffet so far experienced in IBIS hotels. Bad - "Coach Parking spaces" advertised (we need a big space as we tow a caravan with us) - in reality this was not easily accessible (round the other side of the hotel), and then to get to hotel entrance was a long walk; additionally, we were then blocked in by other users of the same car park in the morning as the 'coach' spaces were not clearly identified. Bad - web site gives impression of a very upmarket hotel, in reality needs a good make over (new restaurant next door was good) - stairs were not clean, no restaurant in hotel, bunk beds were very old (and small).... Based on this I will probably be looking for another chain hotel for my next stay in France...

« Most satisfactory and a restful night after a long day driving. »

As above - room was clean and spacious. The gentleman on the desk was friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally situated for us on our journey through France and in into Spain. It is competitively priced and we look forward to staying there on our journey home later this month.

« Not up to usual Ibis Styles standards. »

We were met by a somewhat disinterested receptionist. Our room was clean but lacked full provision for 2 people - only 1 glass & 1 spare pillow. After a long journey, we were delighted to find a bath albeit with no bath plug. Requesting one from reception, we were told they didn’t have one and none could be provided, in a very offhand manner. Had the bathroom only had a shower, that would have been absolutely fine but providing a bath that could not be used as such, seems bizarre! Being resourceful, we cobbled something together and enjoyed a very relaxing soak! The room was very dingy and small and not up to the usual standard. There was no one on duty at the bar as the sole member of staff appeared to be the receptionist for the whole of a busy August Saturday afternoon and evening. The restaurant was also closed and only opened for breakfast. Had there been a friendly, efficient atmosphere, things would have been a little different but as it is, we have no desire to return and would not recommend this particular Ibis Styles hotel.

« Always a good nights sleep »

Everything good as usual, apart from no milk at breakfast! Asked the lady at desk, said sorry we have no milk, only hot milk from machine! Didn’t fancy hot milk on my cereal!

« Convenient overnight stay »

This was our third visit to the hotel. We were disconcerted to find major building works going ahead in the car park. It looks like a restaurant is being built there. Fortunately the Hotel was not affected by the building works. Our room was on the second floor at the end of a corridor so very quiet as we had requested a quiet room. Dinner was chaotic with not enough servers to cope with the number of diners but the food was delicious. Breakfast was disappointing. We left it until after the workers/business people had eaten and left for work before going down. Many of the plates were not replenished so we were left with not much choice. Because of the close location to A20 we will stay here again next time we drive south.

The price I was quoted & reserved at on the Website £59 was not the priced charged by the hotel 80€. The receptionist when we arrived was very abrupt & told us ir was impossible that we would have been given this price. When the night receptionist arrived he was ver understanding & did try & help but said he could do nothing about it & would have to complain via the website.
