« A+ customer Service - Cleanliness and Maintenance Needs Improvement. »

I would like to start off by saying that every single one of the staff members at this hotel were extremely kind and courteous. However, I will say that the cleanliness of the rooms and generally upkeep left something to be desired. When we came into our room we noticed mysterious stains on the lampshades (blood? burns?) as well as chipping on all the furniture that looks like it has not been updated in many years. After I took a shower in the bathroom, the entire room filled with the smell of urine. I believe that someone before our stay peed in the shower and it was stuck in the drains. It was disgusting and smelled absolutely foul. My husband and I were only at the hotel for 2 days, and were out visiting with friends so we chose to shower at their house after that incident. Again, the staff was beyond kind, but the hotel could do with some serious revamping and stringent cleaning practices.

« Perfect choice! »

Convenience in all aspects. Train station 3 minutes away. Convenience store 1 minute from the doorstep. Breakfast in the 19th floor had an amazing views of Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Bay and Yokohama. Perfect choice for our Christmas vacation.

The room was a good size, clean, and well maintained. The staffs are extremely friendly. Breakfast buffet is a balanced spread of eastern and western food. My stay there was pleasant.

« Excellent hospitality! »

I really appreciated the daily room cleaning that was done and replenishing of shampoo/conditioner/soap. Everything always looked neat and organized when I came back to the room. The complimentary laundry was a life saver (plus the clothing was folding exceptionally). I also really enjoyed that each room seemed to have its own internet network/connection. Most hotels I stay at have one shared by everyone so this extra level of security was really appreciated. The internet had a great connection the entire time which is also appreciated (some hotels it can be kind of spotty). I missed a chance to fill out a review card for the complimentary breakfast, but I would have just said that the food was delicious. There was a large variety of options so I felt like it was a great opportunity for me to try some new things. It was all super delicious as well! There was one day when I didn’t get a replacement water and one day where the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was disposed of, however these were very minor things that ultimately didn’t impact my stay in a negative way (I just felt a little bad for not using up everything in the containers).

Hi! I stayed at the Mercure Hotel on Friday and had no issues. But I checked in again on Sunday-Tuesday and extended my stay until Thursday morning. I seem to have extra charges on my debit card from y’all or I was charged twice.

The hotel was nice. The room could use some update there was some damages in the room. The restuarant offered a nice selection of food for buffet. The room service was good but if not up by 10 am it was a 50/50 chance of getting any cleaning done.

The property is impeccably clean, and everything about staying there works great for my business stays in Yokosuka. But what makes the place great is their staff. They hire great people there, and they work hard to make you feel welcome and important. Front desk, café, and restaurant personnel - they are professionals and take pride in their work. Get to know them while you're there!

« Pleasant stay, with a few shortcomings. »

Positives: breakfast was good and included in the rate, evening beer also included in the rate. Nice hotel, excellent location. Room was sufficient size. Negatives: I could not find the thermostat to control room temperature, I did not find any non-Japanese TV channel, and I never received an email that I was promised to sign up for Accor Rewards (and also get credit for this stay).

I stay here once or twice a year when I visit my family in Yokosuka. I'm always impressed with the customer service and house keeping. Mrs. Yu Jackson took really good care of me during my 2 weeks stay. She was extremely helpful and kind. She even took me to the nearest station using the umbrella the morning of my departure when it was raining. I was happy to have a room with great view but the noise from the street was pretty loud. I have been staying at this hotel for years and I think it's time to update some of the things in the hotel such as carpet, wallpapers, thermostat, windows, clocks (some room still don't have digital clocks). Need more outlet to charge our phones and such. Also, I mentioned this before but I think the hotel shouldn't use individual shampoo, conditioner, body shampoo to avoid more trash and plastics. Should put the dispenser on the shower wall instead. Breakfast need more improvement. Seems like it hasn't change much over the years. over all, I like this hotel because of the location and the customer service.
