Doors dont close without banging Upstairs bedrooms need to be insulated as you can hear every footstep and creaking floorboards And who the hell walks about in a hotel room til 12.30am

The stay Was good and the staff was excellent.Last time I stayed I had a Bad breakfast experience. When I booked in this time the lady gave me a complimentary breakfast without asking I was very impressed.When I went to collect the breakfast they said it was to pay for very disappointed.

Stayed at the hotel for a few days attending a course. Despite the Covid-19 restrictions imposed both on the hotel ante training provider, it was well managed and safety was the priority for all. Despite no restaurant or bar facilities (for obvious reasons) room service was provided asanalterative which worked well.

My stay was OK, the hotel is lovely and the bedrooms are nice. The staff are exceptionally polite and welcoming plus very helpful. My only comments negative is the COVID 19 rules for bedroom tea n coffee etc, staff have to go into the bedroom for cleaning so why cant the tea's, coffees etc be already in there? instead you get 1 cup at reception with only half the normal amount inside that's what's normally in the room. I wasn't allowed a glass to take to my room because of covid or a plate, i don't understand that when i am allowed steel cutlery to eat my room service meal with,. I stay in hotels regularly whilst in this current lockdown and every other hotel will allow plates, cutlery etc.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. The points you raise are centrally instructed protocols that are in place to protect the health and safety of all guests. For example the removal of coffee amenities is designed to prevent the contamination of the individual components that cannot be cleaned i.e paper sachets, milk pots etc. Glass ware and crockery are reduced again from a safety perspective to ensure all items are disposable again reducing the potential journeys made, cleaning required and potential for cross contamination in transit. The fact that other brands chose not to do this is more a reflection of their policies than our practices, all of which take Govt advice and further develop it to higher levels. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Sincerely, Ian Gray

The rooms where to hot making it really difficult for me to sleep even with the windows wide open all night. I had food both nights of my stay, the chicken burger thing, and the chicken cesar salad, both meals where really disappointing as they both (for some reason) had far too much salt on them, making them horrible to eat.

Booked an overnight stay at the hotel as my husband was playing golf with a relative. We found all staff very professional and friendly. Room and bathroom were very clean and well presented despite some of the extras having to be removed due to COVID restrictions. Bed was very comfortable. Overall a very pleasant overnight stay . Would definitely recommend.
