All staff were friendly,breakfast was excellent and great location for the tube ,two stations nearby.Room was quite small but had everything you needed.Overall I would recommend.

« Ok-ish hotel »

Ok-ish but at the same time typical London hotel. Rooms are ok, although it misses the nice finishing touch. Plugs were at a very strange place in the hotel. Disappointing was the lure dust on the floor, due to lack of hovering. Bathroom was clean. Location is good.

At the Kensington Mercure, I never feel less than welcome, and on each visit receive exemplary hospitality, care and kindness from the staff, reception, housekeeping, bar and longe area and the breakfast area. As the title says, it is quality all the way, and I greatly look forward to my next visit. The reception staff were as always, kindness itself. Thank you!

Friendly staff. Room was very good. Dinner menu limited and not all choices available. Breakfast: Cold plates yet again. Kitchen staff don't know what grilled tomatoes are!

There were a small group of us staying at the hotel - including a number of guests with additional needs. Everyone was supportive and catered for our needs once there. We were unable to book directly with hotel but all accor helpline got things sorted.

This is not the first time I stay at this hotel with my family. It is very well located, next to a tube station and several restaurants. The rooms are nice and very quiet. I definitely intend to stay there again next time I go to London.

Not worth the money - stay somewhere else outside central LDN and quickly commute. This hotel isn’t worth staying central, you’re better off commuting for an entra 10-15 mins. The hotel is dated, very small (can’t easily walk around the bed) and offers nothing special, that helps you justify the cost.

« Friendly, safe, great location for museums »

The reception staff were really welcoming and professional. And very kind with my 5 year old. The room was a good size for London and we had a good nights sleep. The breakfast is varied enough. Good coffee. Loved that there was also a coffee machine in the room. I think a couple of the reviews I have seen are unfair/ overly fussy as price v quality for London this is really a great and friendly small hotel. I would have no hesitation about recommending or staying here again. We loved it.

« Well located BUT with space for improvement »

I was disappointed with what seemed to be inexperienced staff left with no permanent support at the reception. They were kind enough and willing to help, but this is not the point... I felt they were left alone with task they didn't yet mastered. So, dear management, don't do this, as it will degrade your image, and probably subject your younger (and willing) collaborators to pressure.

Very efficient and welcoming staff both checking in and out. Hotel spotlessly clean although a little shabby in the bedroom. Ideally situated for sight seeing. One minor niggle, and this applies to most hotels, why is there only one armchair in a room which is clearly designed for two people? Also - only one coathanger!!

« There were better stays »

I’m a platinum member so it was rather disappointing not to be upgraded. Also, the heating in the room was not working. Luckily, the nice concierge brought me a radiator. One day, hopefully breakfast will start before 7. Happy for the fast checkout!

What a joke. Don’t be fooled by the professional photos. The whole building is crumbling. Noisy plumb work and everything falling to bits! As for the cleaners, they must be on strike!! I won’t be staying there again!
