« Worst hotel room ever! »

Booked a spacious double room and we were given a single room with a double bed. Room was tatty and bathroom sink was cracked and chipped. Only 30cm at end of bed so really hard to get from one side of room to the other. Spoilt our whole weekend and attitude of hotel management was atrocious with zero understanding from duty managers. We will never stay here again and I advise others to do same.

« Feeling at home away from home »

I arrived at your hotel tired after a night flight and a long cab ride through the congested streets of London. Eliza the receptionist took pity on me & upgraded me. I had a two days reservation at the Mercure & was booked for the rest of my week in London at Ibis Styles. Imad, the manager offered me a better rate in the same upgraded room and convinced me to stay for the rest of the week. Zaineb, Bosteyo were also very attentive to my needs. Your staff, the improved rates & the hotel comfort made all the difference.

« Not up to the usual standards. »

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and will likely stay again in the future as we do like the hotel in general and it’s location. The room we were put in was very small, smaller than previous stays at the same room category. It was also very hot, the air conditioning dial did nothing and we had to keep the window open at all times. In addition it felt like the room was only stocked for one person despite the booking for two. There was only one bathrobe and one set of toiletries. We had to ask for extra shampoo, toilet paper etc everyday. The staff were helpful and responded to requests very quickly. However we should not have to make all those extra requests given this is a 4 star hotel.

This is a wonderful and ideal hotel for any visitor to London, ideally located for tube and bus, warm, friendly and hospitable, very comfortable accommodation, an excellent breakfast, and with a sure welcome and the knowledge that as a guest you are valued. I recommend it highly.

Relaxed, efficient reception welcomed me back. Room was comfortable and pleasant. Heating on. A little welcome back. Good ambiance in the lounge, and a good breakfast the following morning.

« A little tired »

The hotel room was comfortable, clean and the bed supportive. The only downside was the shower room which was clean, which is the most important aspect, was tired - the basin had a large crack and the bath panel needed a good re-paint. Not hugely important but just needed some maintenance.

« Good but not the usual Mercure standard »

Few observations which of addressed could improve guest experience: - checkin rather painful with a member of staff not fully trained and rather “personal” - no fast checkout so you need to queue and wait for your account balance confirmation - breakfast starts at 7am which is rather late for a city where many are travelling for business - rooms outdated but de my size with good bedsheets/ pillows/ mattress - tea refills were only black tea and not the initial variety - welcome trey for Platinum level was a plate with some chocolate pralines and few berries - not wrapped so not really hygienic

Friendly greeting by staff. Room was comfortable and well appointed, and the breakfast was good and varied. The hotel location is close to both the tube station and neighbourhood restaurants.

Very nice and clean room and polite service, but I didn’t agree with and objected to a request to supply a hard copy of my photo id for the hotel’s keeping. This is unnecessary, as the original id may be, and was, inspected and that is sufficient. This is not done at other Mercure hotels at which I have stayed. It will put people off. Regards,

It was really nice, room is good size, bathroom is really big and it was very clean. Only problem was when I got in they had to triple check my booking and ID without explanation.
