« Clean, comfortable and friendly. »

There was one major failing and it had nothing to do with the hotel staff. Picture 4/6 in the room description shows a bath with a shower, this was an important factor in choosing the room. I was told that none of the rooms in the hotel have a bath, all are shower only. The website was misleading. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were professional and friendly and the whole site felt well cared for.

« Acceptable what to be expected from IBIS »

We had to changed our booking at the last moment to following day and a call to the hotel resolved this friendly and very quickly. When we did arrive we arrived very late in the evening about 23:00 and walked into reception only to find it empty, we looked around for about 10 minutes, it was a little off putting, not knowing what to do but finally the night receptionist showed up. They had been busy else where ! The hotel and room were found in acceptable condition, clean and tidy. However the the corridor the room was on had a very bad smell like bad drains. We had a good nights sleep and was ready to continue our journey.

« Excellent, much better than expected! »

New Year travel of family with two children (12 and 15). Ibis De Haan offered food and drinks all night a la a carte, which was perfect, given that all other restaurants in town were closed or having special dinners only. Great and Cosa atmosphere at restaurant at NYE, friendly staff. Looking forward to staying again!

good price/value ratio. excellent breakfast buffet. comfortable rooms. but I think dogs should not be allowed in the restaurant area. certainly not noisy little creatures... room service could be a little better.

« A good middle-range hotel »

Everything was fine for a hotel of this nature - comfortable bed, good breakfast, and so on. I had two personal complaints, neither of which are general for Ibis hotels. One is that my bathroom had an unpleasant smell that sometimes filtered into the bedroom (the hotel is aware and is taking action). The other is that my room wasn't cleaned (I was there for two nights), and I don't think I had requested that.

Excellent hotel in scenic area. The staff are welcoming, courteous and professional. The hotel rooms are spacious with wifi and aircon/heating you can control. The double beds are comfortable. Breakfast is excellent compared to other Ibis hotels. The hotel is a short walk ( but pleasant) from the tram stop which will take you to De Haan or Ostende

Very good. Its just a pity i dont understand the advantage points when i join the Accor club. How do i get discounts when im a frequent visitor?

« Uncontrollable heating »

When we arrived we immediately informed recption that it was far too hot in our room although we had turned the temperature down to 17C. We were given all sorts of advice on what to do but nothing helped. We tried to open the window but could not get to it, so we did not sleep at all. We complained again the following morning and they found out that indeed something had gone wrong as it was now 26C in our room. We were promised the window would be opened and we had a good nights sleep the following night. For a hotel chain that prides itself on its green credentials this is a pretty poor show. Room was nice and tidy and breakfast was very good. At dinner they could no longer do chips...in a Belgian hotel??? but the croquettes were nice.

« Great place. »

Nice location in a quiet environment, close to the beach and the village. On top there was a swimming pool, which we unfortunately were not able to use, as the weather in October has turned.

« A nice hotel »

It is a modern, comfortable and well maintained hotel. An excellent breakfast and a reasonable if uninspiring dinner menu. My one complaint is the number of staff on duty. one girl did reception, bar and food service at the same time. She did it well but obviously could have used some help.

The hotel was clean and the room comfortable and of a reasonable size. The bar and breakfast areas were spacious and the breakfast selection - both hot and cold, was very good. I would only say that if anything, the hotel seemed a little understaffed.

We cannot complain about the room, nor the service, but we have to complain about your parking fee. We've been staying in different Ibis Hotels ( Germany, France, Belgium ), nowhere we were charged for an open parking lot without any security at Eur 8 per day. Think it over!!! Could be bad publicity.

Hotel was very comfortable and staff were really friendly and helpful, although it was quite away from centre of town. Beds a bit on the small side and tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been nice.

« Nice rooms and good facilities. »

One of our pre-booked rooms was not available, so we were given an upgraded one which we were happy about. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our rooms to be available on arrival. Other than this initial difficulty, we had a very nice stay, enjoying the facilities and breakfasts. I booked online, and also by telephone to ensure we had adjoining rooms.
