No AC so the room was roasting. Mosquitos everywhere. Staff disinterested in their jobs, apart from the restaurant staff who were good.

Good Price Vs. Value & Near major roads

Our stay at Mercure Agrate Brianza was good due to the family room and the ease of access to the hotel as it was located near major roads and provides ample parking. It is primarily a business hotel and unfortunately there is not much available within walking distance, but the hot hotel breakfast buffet was good enough serving scramble eggs/bacon every day along with an ample selection of italian sweet pastries and very good espresso coffee on request. The room could have been better airconditioned as the room was very hot, and there were only 2 accessible power plugs (1 of which in bathroom): Bring an extension-cord/distributor and a table fan!

The location is convenient for business and the hotel food is quite good. The staff is very pleasant and flexible, always trying to provide the best service you can expect. The mattresses are quite rigid and not very comfortable which affected my sleep slightly; also my room card key stopped working multiple times in 2 different stays/rooms at this hotel - hence I deducted some points from this evaluation.

Location not really good for holidays.

The hotel was chosen by a group we were partly associated with for the 1st week, we booked for 2 weeks. Great place if you have your own transport or doing business in the business precinct, unfortunately for us holiday makers neither was the case. The 1st week we went around with the group but the 2nd week we had to make our own arrangements. Being a business area the place is like the moon at the weekend without any transport apart for expensive taxi services. When we booked we didn't know all of this, in retrospect we should have booked for just 1 week and book another week closer to Milan but we believed that it was only about half hour away, which is the case if you have your own transport otherwise during week days there is limited bus service (around 7am to 6pm or the hotel shuttle bus) to Cologno metro station which then will take you where ever you want to go but nothing at weekend. This is not a criticism of the hotel but just to let people know the situation. We were otherwise happy with everything else.
