The Arts Restaurant offers traditional and internationally inspired cuisine, delicious desserts and a selection of fine wines to compliment your meal. You'll find individually styled surroundings which offer a relaxed atmosphere.
Take the hard work out of your business presentations in the Georgian surroundings. Conducting business is a relaxed affair in the middle of the Kent countryside. Invite up to 200 delegates for a theatre-style presentation, or use one of our smaller rooms for board meetings and interviews. Our eight conference rooms have complimentary high-speed WIFI and bask in natural daylight. You can hire laptops and audiovisual equipment and we'll provide working lunches and afternoon teas. We also offer 200 free on-site parking spaces. When your day's work is done, take to the pool in our health club.

Hotel was good the only thing was when having breakfast staff were clearing plates off the table before both of us were finished we found that a little rude

Hotel staff were friendly, especially those in the restaurant. Room was excellent... would score 10 but felt the lighting in the hotel/restaurant was a little cold and harsh, was not inviting. In addition, lack of armshairs and comfy chairs/relaxing area was a shame. There is space outside the restaurant for this but its set up as tables and high back dining chairs.

I spent two nights in the hotel with breakfast, lunch and dinner which did not disappoint and all the staff made my stay feel really welcoming! Thank you all for your kind hospitality, it was an extremely comfortable bed to sleep in.

Car parking was generally good though I believe its heading towards a new system which might help keep it for hotel customers rather than general public. Reception area bright and airy and staff really helpful. Checking in process was a breeze. Room was huge, really lovely to have a bath as well as shower and having the added extra's is always nice so herbal tea as well as standard, bottles of water etc just gives it a lift. TV and working radio was good. Free Wifi which is always a bonus, easy to connect and signal strength was good for all of my devices. There was access to a swimming pool but I didn't use it so can't comment. Lounge/bar area looks small but with tables stretching further back plenty of space to sit down and relax, for some reason no sparkling water available and a slightly limited choice of drinks but generally ok. Limited choice food wise for the lounge area, unless you like pizza and whilst there was more choice for the Restaurant and it was pleasant enough it was a little pricey. Serving staff however were all friendly and attentive without being too pushy. Breakfast was available which I didn't use but there is a Nottcuts Garden Centre across the road that does a good value breakfast served until 11.30am - not everyone wants to eat breakfast by 9.30am! The hotel is set a little way out of the town centre, 10min drive or a 50min walk but there is a bus stop outside. I used it on the Sunday to get to the rail station. I recommend getting the Arriva app as that allows you to purchase tickets online and also provides live updates to where the bus is, useful for me as it was running 15mins late. On the whole I thought it was a lovely hotel and served my purpose well. If I was in the area again I'd happily stay there.
