Poor hotel in serious need of updating. Threadbare carpets in the passageways and stained/threadbare carpets in my room. Email received from the hotel after booking only addressed me by my surname. When this was mentioned at checking in I got told "it is a computer generated email".

I can’t fault the staff for friendliness and character. Keyleigh on front desk was good humoured and very helpful with the taxi booking. The shower control was probably 30 years old at least but amazingly it worked. I slept well but the mattress was rutted and there was a lot of door slamming in the night. Breakfast not up to usual Accor standard- coffee in particular was mediocre. But - I liked this hotel and will be back.

The hotel was in desperate need of refreshing, with a tired feeling throughout. The rooms missed items that many business travellers need such as USB points and plenty of sockets. The room needed new furniture, new paint scheme, modern lighting, double glazing and the bathroom surfaces needed to be replaced.

Staff very welcoming and polite I am member so lovely upgrade surprisingly good dinner the only very real disappointment was breakfast I have stayed in many hotels during lockdown and was the worst breakfast I do appreciate the challenge but a bag hanging on the door with my order form. Cross next to apple juice no orange juice offered. Cross next to the flavour of tub of add water porridge did get alternative flavour........ but no spoon to eat it with and two bits of fruit there are loads of Pre packed options available I am told all the chefs had been laid off ..... poor excuse other hotels have provided full cooked breakfast or at least fuller cold one.

A great hotel and a fab room, stay in room 105 if you can, it is a suite and it is amazing! Easy to find, car park is large, reception is very well organised, had room card ready, check in took about 30 seconds. A great well organised place

A very tired hotel in need of updating and not the most friendly reception staff. Good free car parking and a decent location in the city. Evening meals were good but breakfast was very poor. Pricey compared to other secure Hotels.

Neither of us slept from an ongoing buzz and drip from the window - rooms were extremely dated carpets worn then, marks on the bedding and towels, worn and ripped furniture. Daylight robbery what the hotel is charging for the stay and for its meals extremely disappointed we shall not be staying again, worst Mercure I've stayed in

Noise in most rooms with doors slamming

This room was booked by my company so I didn’t have any choice but to stay here I have been told some of the rooms are very nice but some of the rooms have got black mild on the curtains and on the walls around the windows the carpets are thread bear in some rooms I have stayed in but room 22 is probably the best room I have stayed in over the past 18 months and I stay there for 6 months of the year but if I had to pay for my accommodation I would not stay there.
