Al;though there were some oddities and problems with the two rooms we had (we had to move from one first morning, when the Meccano "walk-in" shower leaked about 5 mm of water onto the floor, and the second had problems with the window-locks (ground floor!), the great staff made up for things by working their socks off very cheerfully. The food was also interesting and of a largely sufficient variety, and the chef did a couple of modified dishes for us for dinner. The location was a bit strange, but once we learned how best to approach it, it worked well, and its closeness to the Airport Park-&-Ride was most useful in a city a bit alien to cars!

Really lovely room and very friendly staff. I arrived late after a long journey and ordered dinner in my room which arrived promptly and was very tasty! Very comfortable bed and had a great sleep. Thank you. :)

Good location but everything a little tired for a 4 star staff pleasant uniform in general could do with being cleaner and tidier accommodation reasonable and comfy but a lick of paint wouldn’t go a miss food in general good and overall stay fair for price

Staff were really good on arrival, serving at the bar, and on departure. Hotel a bit dated in places and the windows in the room didnt open as they were fixed, which meant no fresh air - this I do not like. Restaurant had no atmosphere so I went in the bar, which seemed better and the same menus. The food choices were ok. Although I went in early, my first choice of lamb was ordered but afterwards the kitchen called and said it was not available. Within in a short while, I heard the bar staff tell other people of several more choices not being available. Not very impressed with this although my food was really nice.

A little tired, not up to the usual Mercure standards

The first night I arrived I had dinner in the restaurant which was nearly empty however nearly everything I chose was not available. There was no fish of any kind so I chose the vegetarian - a cauliflower dish but this was also off. I don’t eat meat so ended up with a Caesar salad with a poached egg on top I used the gym both mornings of my two night stay, this could do with some renovation along with the pool. One of the two treadmills was not working. The room was OK but again the decor is old fashioned and tired looking. I will be looking to find somewhere else which has a better menu and facilities while working away in Norwich. Normally Mercure hotels are good and of a higher standard

The room was clean and well laid out but the decor was a little tired and the sofa bed quite old and uncomfortable. The swimming pool area was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Staff very good in all areas, both on arrival, serving in the bar and upon departure. Hotel is a bit dated in places and uninspiring. Windows in the room don't open at all so no fresh air. Restaurant had no atmosphere. Menu looked ok but in the end many choices weren't available.

Overall a good stay with nice clean facilities.

Hotel staff lovely, sauna and pool was quiet and clean, bedrooms spacious and in general the hotel was nice. The only downside for me was the breakfast as there was not a lot to offer at the time we went down, especially for the cost of breakfast too. I wouldn't have considered it near enough to closing time to not put any fresh food out when there was still over half an hour of breakfast time left. The food we did have was still nice though.

We stayed and had the valentines package and it was just lovely! Walked in to rose petals over the bed a box of luxury chocolates and the room was so modern and beautiful! The receptionist could not of been more welcoming and helpful! The swimming facilities were well kept and lovely!

booked in for a valentines meal and entertainment with overnight stay, everything was well organised and all went smoothly. staff as usual were very helpful and the food was first class.
