Poor check-in. trouble finding my reservation. spelt my name incorrectly. forgot my welcome drink. room was fine. 3rd floor restaurant not very welcoming, particularly zealous to tell me (and otheres) where we could NOT sit.

The staff on reception are perfect. Great hotel once you get used to the lifts, only the entrance is at ground level, reception, bars and restaurant are on different floors. Bar staff were unorganized night we stayed but eventually got served. Breakfast is good, great ingredients hot and cold. Will definitely return

The resson i picked this hotel was becuse it´s location. This was the second time ive stayed with you. And I must say your hotel needs maitnance and fast everthing seem outdated. Room floor was dirty bedsheets also dirty. The bathroom tile was coming of the wall. And the breakfest was mediocre. I got the feel that everything was all the time finnsihed that you run out of products. Next time when i come too manchester I will pick another hotel. Sorry too say. We stayed at your hotel on Friday 10th January, firstly I was disappointed to learn that I could’ve booked the room direct cheaper than I paid on itison. Secondly if I’d paid full price for this room I wouldn’t have stayed here, the room was scruffy the bathroom was dirty and old. We stayed in room number 923.

This was our second stay with you and we found it satisfactory. We choose The Mercure Piccadilly because it is central and has parking. I do recall however, when making the booking, that I was informed the bed would be at least King Size. It was only a double. I haven't slept in a double sized bed in over 20 years!

As per usual the Mercure Piccadilly hotel staff both front of house and those behind were absolutely fantastic. The staff on Level 3 were also as usual brilliant. The only small fly in the ointment is the television channel set up. It is part cable and part aerial and doesn't use Freeview channel settings which can be confusing when wanting a particular channel. Also the use of Welsh channels foe channel 4 and BBC isn't helpful. Hopefully this can be easily resolved.

« Ok but had to ask 3 times for a robe to be sent to my room. »

Was ok. Didn’t get my morning paper. Tv channels were hard to put on. Only one toothbrush. One robe. Ordered champagne and one glass had a crack in it. Took 15 minutes to get another one even tho tho bottle had been opened.

I booked this hotel for my partners birthday. I emailed the hotel to see if they did any packages for birthdays/special occasions and I was emailed me back by Ly… where she gave me a list of packages they offered which was great. I opted for : ‘Fizz, Pop & Celebrate’ Package [£30.00] o 2 x bottles of water o 1 x box of Lily O’Brien’s truffles [2 x truffles per box] o Special Occasion Card o 1 x Bottle of Prosecco on ice, in the room prior to arrival. She reassured me the package was going to be added to my room. When we arrived and checked in and we went to the room, none of the above which was offered for the package was there. It was just a standard basic room. I went to reception to make sure I wasn’t charged the £30 as it wasn’t delivered but just didn’t make the stay that bit special for my other half. I’ve done packages in the past with other hotels and they’ve never failed to disappoint. I’d stay again for the room but not the service.

« Nice room but service rather poor »

Terrible service in restaurant on Saturday evening (28.12.19). No one to greet us, no one to serve us, after 20 mins, left to eat outside. If you did not have the staff,, you should have closed the restaurant! Room key system was awful - my wife and I has to get the key reprogrammed 5 times!

« Not really value for money »

Plenty of issues from the minute we booked including taking money months before they were supposed to. Upgraded room as compensation but nothing special about it. Bed was not the most comfortable and only a double. Bathroom was fine. Lifts were slow and often not working properly. Not the best value for money and would not choose to stay here again over some of the more budget hotels. Only stayed due to a family wedding in the hotel.

« Enjoyable »

The hotel was lovely, breakfast was good. However, the room we stayed in wasn’t nice. The paint was coming off the walls, and the chairs we’re ripped. Definitely needs a change. But overall the hotel was very good. I would suggest warming up the chocolate croissants though for 10/10!
