Mercure Livingston Hotel is in a central location in Scotland, located off the M8 J3, between Edinburgh and Glasgow. The hotel has conference facilities for up to 110 delegates with a restaurant, the Health Club and parking onsite. Air-conditioningand complimentary high-speed WIFI make business a pleasure in any one of our 8 meeting rooms. Host an intimate board meeting for 7 or a conference for up to 120 delegates. I did not select this hotel it was through work but I was well impressed, staff are very helpful and the restrictions due to covid are well put in place but don't effect your stay, good choice of food on the restricted menu and very tasty

The hotel is ideally situated, close to all local amenities, such as Livingston Designer Centre. Easy access to Edinburgh, Edinburgh Airport. The hotel is 'tired' in a few places, but the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, reception areas, by far make up for any imperfections. The staff, Louise Jarvie, Steven, Vicky, Charlotte, are exceptional, professional, helpful, and friendly. Behind the scenes, housekeeping are terrific, paying attention to detail, obviously proud of the standards they maintain. The only slight negative thing I would say is that the room service menu is slightly expensive, the hotel could easily compete with local 'Take Always' etc, if overall prices were reduced on the room service menu by 15-20%, the uptake would be greater. Overall, I cannot fault the Mercure Livingston, competition is close by, newer and fresher accomodation, but the staff really do make the difference between a place being 'sterile' and 'welcoming'. I would thoroughly recommend the Mercure Livingston to anyone.

The staff are doing a fantastic job to keep the hotel "Covid Secure". The staff were great, very friendly (in a socially-distanced way) as usual. Food and room service very good. MY bed was very comfortable.

I had to wait around 5 minutes when I came down for dinner as no one was around. I had to knock on the staff room door to speak to someone. Run down hotel. The food was horrible. Really over priced.

Room was tatty and run down, bathroom door water damaged , desk had large bits chipped off, mirror delaminating. Worst of all, all corridors and communal areas had a strong pungent smell (even through a face mask) which I believe was of illegal substances.

Everything was OK with my stay, however before I set off to the hotel called ahead to double check my booking and the operating service was awful I spoke to 2 different people both of them could not find my booking and kept telling me to speak directly to hotel, I tried that 3 times eventually speaking to the hotel I they told me it was booked for the wrong day and she fixed it there and then on the phone. I believe her name was Becky in the Hotel who I spoke to and she was fantastic if I'd have just spoken to her in the 1st place then it would have saved me 30 mins and the may have still been a chance of me getting to the hotel before Dinner would have stop being served

confusion as website information and information on arrival was different. restricted menu in the restaurant, then even that had several dishes unavailable at 6pm. this was blamed on room service. room services prices were much higher than advertised and rectified when questioned. heating in the room didn't work Staff were all pleasant and friendly

We enjoyed our stay had our dinner there it was great however the breakfast was disappointing the eggs were really hard couldn’t eat it it certainly wasn’t fresh been sitting to long.the hotel could do with a refurbish.

we have stayed at the Mercure Livingston 3 times before,but this time we were so disappointed its unlikely we shall stay there again there were 2 functions on the 2 nights we stayed there and every table and siting down chair were taken as I am disabled we had to return to our room to find a seat when we asked for seating e were told there was non available,but the room and breakfast were good

Very disappointed with. Family room. Window was secured with a screw which seemed a hazard to anyone. Lots of mould in the room. Ventilation very poor and . Room and bath need refreshing. Staff did not seem enthusiastic except for the cleaning staff who were always smiling and greeted us every time. Had asked staff if they could change one of the screens to a different programme but said because most people were watching Celtic play he couldn’t. Even though the side we were sitting it was only my family.

Reception was not very attentive half the time no one was there the restaurant was rediculise had to wait in a massive queue as there was a coach trip in when eventually seat they got priority never came near us until they were all served should have had someone dealing with the other patrons.In the room the bath was filthy and old toilet roll was left lying.In general very disappointed compared to other hotel I.e Mercure Ayr,Ibis hotel Blackpool
