Well located, lovely staff but furnishings are extremely tired and worn.

Lo Friends - Confirmed reviews ALL

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and were given only 2 bath towels. Despite requesting more from the chambermaid in person, none arrived. Do not believe that our rooms were serviced at all during our stay. The hotel is in a great location for access to city centre, concert hall and theatre and has free parking. However, the chairs and sofas in bar/lounge area are threadbare and stained, not a decent chair amongst them. The bedrooms are very dated but reasonable for the price. We only had breakfast on Sunday morning which was pretty shambolic. It appeared that the waiting staff were not advising the kitchen of the number of guests in the restaurant for breakfast. Our party of 4, a table of 5 and another 4 came into breakfast together. There were 4 rashers of bacon, no sausages and no eggs. Chef came through with 6 eggs - for 13 people?? Then few minutes later, 6 sausages. Waited another 5 minutes for more eggs to arrive and finally when everyone had finished eating a huge tray of bacon appeared - very poorly organised.

The stay was good, we had three nights for business. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms leave a little to be desired and could do with modernising. Also, there are a lot of creaky floorboards which means lots of noise when you're trying to sleep.

Hotel needs a refurbish pronto - WiFi very patchy - bedroom washbasin blocked, furniture old fashioned and falling apart. Could be a great hotel with some further money spent. Staff very friendly didn't try the breakfast as was leaving early

Tired hotel

Stayed for two nights. First night shower in the morning had very low pressure and not very hot. Second night room had not been tidied, towels changed etc. Even no tea or coffee topped up. Power cut on second night (not the hotels fault) but meant road was being jack hammered from 1pm to 1 am. Shower in morning was not much better. Carpet in room was thread bare.
