Overall stay at the hotel was good, room was clean and well presented and staff were pleasant. We had a river facing room on the fifth floor and the view was lovely. Covid restrictions meant there were no housekeeping tasks carried out by the cleaning staff unless you requested it and we were only there two days so didn't bother. More restrictions meant the bar and restaurant were working in a limited capacity but this was well communicated and room service (which we didn't use) was offered free of charge. Doors for room entrance and bathroom are very narrow, but once you are inside the room then, it is spacious. In the bathroom there is no place to hang your hand towel (near the sink), bath towel or to keep your soaps whilst you are showering. Good central location and we had a great time.

A lovely room, thank you, but was surprised that the bar were only offering drinks in plastic glasses “due to Covid”.....which made me wonder if the restaurant would serve me dinner on a plastic plate with plastic knives & forks (is there any difference in the logic?). Anyhow, found a nice place to eat along the street with “glass” drinks glasses etc., same as the other 4 places that I have had dinner in this week (from Glasgow to Stornoway & in between).

As others have mentioned, the building itself, presumably a converted office block, is less than appealing. However, the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small but adequate, a shelf in the shower for soap etc would be useful. The entrance "lobby" was a bit soulless but the welcoming staff made up for that. Good central location with on site free parking.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and always enjoyed my stay, good restaurant, nice bar and always friendly staff, this visit however coincided with the Covid 19 lockdown. Understandable there was no restaurant or bar available, however the hotel still provided a good meal via room service. I had to cut my visit short by one night due to the lockdown issue and following government advice. Rest assure once things are back to normal i will return to the hotel when work commitments require me to travel to Inverness.

Having booking for 4 weeks I was not happy with the response of the reception when I stated I was unhappy with my room. Without asking exactly what I was unhappy with, I was told "that is the room that was booked". The room had not been cleaned properly, there was a faulty electrical outlet and the lighting in the bathroom was very poor (2 of the bulbs had been replace with low grade LED bulbs). The standard of the hotel in public areas was generally poor with one of the front door handles missing, paintwork worn and chipped, the window frames/sills in the breakfast area were dirty and stained, and the car park entrance smelt damp. The outside of the hotel has not been maintained with wires hanging down etc. As a result of the above, I cancelled the last 3 weeks and stayed at another hotel in the area.

No wifi and no prior notification of such, hence could not work as I should be able to!

Check in was quick staff member was a bit too brusque. £6 parking charge and no guarantee of a space. Room adequate. Designer tap in bathroom made it nearly impossible to fill the kettle. Comfy bed, nice shower and nice towels. Walls really thin and corridor noisy until early hours. Nice temperature in room. Breakfast team were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good

Since you've now reminded me three times to complete this, here you go. At dinner on the first night I watched a gentleman wait over 30 minutes to be served in the restaurant, he then walked out. On the second night I waited 25 minutes after receiving a menu and had to shout to a member of staff to take my order, I was one of three people in the entire restaurant. When I arrived I was asked to provide my credit card details in case I went over my allocated allowance provided for my stay by my company. On departure I confirmed that there was no outstanding amount. The following day my entire stay was charged to my personal credit card instead of my company's. Refunded immediately once questioned. Another stay at a Mercure hotel, a different city but the same result. I don't know why my company continue to use them

Was visiting Inverness on business, and regularly use the Mercure hotel. On this occasion I was lucky enough to get an upgrade to a Premium room. The stay overall was very good, and the room very comfortable.

I must unfortunately say my stay at Mercure Inverness was very disappointing. Reasons are: - At checkin my Platinum status was not recognized. My room was not upgraded nor drink vouchers were available. I had to ask for it. - Receptionist at checkin was neither welcoming nor pleasant - In the room one of the water bottles was open and partially drunk (likely used by a previous guest). It was replaced on my request, but I would expect a bit more. - There was no welcome gift in the room. When I raised it with receptionist she was trying to convince me that this hotel is not participating in this part of the loyalty programme. This is obviously false excuse as all hotels must respect it. So finally I got it. - Room was prepared for one person (one bathrobe, one set of towels in the bathroom). - Wi-fi was not working during all stay. Even though receptionist knew about that, she didn’t say anything until I raised the issue. - In my reservation I requested an invoice. So far it was not e-mailed to me. Taking all into consideration I would say that hotel is failing badly on service side. Due to that I am requesting a compensation of 2000 ALL points.
