stay was OK, nothing special but nothing to bad apart from the waitress on my second evening. Find it hard to understand why service charges are added to tables for 1, and not every time i ate in the restaurant. felt like the waitress we trying to slip it past me without me noticing

« Could do with an update »

Although the staff were great, the hotel is rather dated. I could only find 2 plugs in my room to use and I had to unplug the tv to use that socket . As a vegan the menu is very restricted to a choice of 2. As I was staying for 3 nights I had to make a request for more choice. The chef did oblige although one should not have to request a better choice.

« Great location with good parking, room for improvement! »

I stayed on business for the night and we held a corporate event there the following day. Some staff were friendly (including the staff assisting us with the event), although general hotel staff have a lot to work on, including the waiting staff in the restaurant. The corridor in which my room was located (138) was absolutely freezing! Almost like an ice box; making it extremely uncomfortable to walk up and down. I complained to reception about this, although nothing changed during my stay.

« Location beautiful »

The rooms are good and comfortable. May be need a bit of uplift. The dining experience was excellent. Staff very efficient and helpful in spite of being very busy on Saturday night. The Spa experience was really enjoyable for my wife as she was quite impressed with the deep tissue massage she had.

« Good location, great food and staff. »

Overnight stay for business. Staff were really good, rooms are as you would expect. Surprised how good the food was, had the lamb cutlet that was lovely. Hotel is in perfect location for Maidstone and surrounding area.

« Good value for Money »

Stayed for one night whilst attending a party nearby so didn't make full use of facilities. However, hotel is pleasant in good surroundings, check-in was straightforward and breakfast was very good. Room maybe a little dowdy, but spacious and more than adequate. Overall, good value for money.

« Shame.... »

Been here plenty of time, shame this time was probably the worse, paid lots of money for a room then was very bad located, Cold and very poor quality, no safe in the room, and even the kettle wasn’t working properly, As I’ve another weekend booked, I hope my next experience will be better, Or may be the last time for me at this location

« Poor location, in need of modernization. »

Hotel is difficult to get to by public transport. It also feels neglected and in need of modernization. The room layout is poor and lacks thermostat heating. Areas of the hotel feel cold. The conference room lacked electric sockets and we had many extension cords causing a real hazard. The male sauna was also not working.

« Good location, shame about the building »

I managed a last minute booking via a Maidstone telephone number which directed me to a call centre in Manchester. After what felt like a considerable delay my booking details were incorrectly entered necessitating a further phone call to discover why I had not received my promised email confirmation. The hotel is designed with inconvenient stairs leading from the Reception to rooms with no available ramps, so having to lug a heavy suitcase up and down was a minor pain. The Classic Double Room was very small and cramped in comparison to other hotels in this class. The Spa & pool were very nice but disappointingly the gents sauna was out of order. The staff encountered were all very pleasant and welcoming.

Nice hotel, very good rooms, food up to a very good standard. However very dissatisfied with the timing of the room cleaning on our second day, we put the room available sign on the door at 9.00 and when we returned at 2pm it was still not even started, not happy
