Was disappointed that room service was served in cardboard boxes including cutlery - would have been acceptable to deliver but provide cutlery and plates in room. I'm sure if you served the restaurant guest like room service it wouldn't be taken in good taste. The restaurant was fully booked so we had no choice. Also was unable to get anyone to answer the room service phone between 7am - 8am in the morning to get breakfast delivered.

Good facilities, but needs some work

Our stay at Mercure was OK. Upon arrival, the hotel looks amazing, with manicured gardens, the reception is well presented and plenty of parking. There’s plenty of facilities with golf, indoor and outdoor pool, spa, you name it. It’s located at least 30-minutes to most central coast attractions, so you’ll have to drive everywhere. Our room, however, whilst grand in size (2 bed apartment), was very tired looking and not particularly clean. The room smelled as if it hadn’t been opened up in a while, there was broken glass underneath the couch, the fabric lounges were filthy (smelled too) and desperate for a steam clean, and the place was dusty (Benchtops and areas of the floor). Not ideal when you’re in a pandemic. The saving grace was that the linen was clean and the kitchen sink smelled like bleach which gave some reassurance that the place had been cleaned. If the place had a refurbishment, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to people given the facilities and family friendly nature, but for the price you pay and the location, it’s not worth it.

The experience was nice . Breakfast however I would not recommend at all our bacon was burnt and nearly unbeatable my pouched eggs where cold and not nice .

The book in and out experience was friendly and efficient. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Happy hour was a great way to start our stay. The restaurant was busy, but the staff managed to provide delicious food and beverages in a timely manner. The golf course was very picturesque and also the gardens well maintained. A very enjoyable stay.

The rooms were a great size. However the place was a bit dirty. The walls and the lounges were the worst. Also the room yea and coffee was in a sappy bag when we arrived? I stayed here about 7 years ago and it was great but defiantly needs a refresher.

The hotel room was standard/acceptable. I joined a number of guests for dinner in the restaurant on Monday night and the food took almost 2 hours to arrive. Breakfast the next morning was delayed as well and I understand dinner on the Tuesday night was delayed for some guests who stayed on past my check-out. This particular service needs to be improved and staffing needs to be prioritised.

on booking in and prepaying for the two rooms we booked, we were not advised that the rooms would not be cleaned or the towels changed or tea, coffee or milk replaced (allegedly because of covid 19. We had to be told on the 13th by a lovely lady, leigh, from housekeeping that this was the case. We were not able to book for breakfast on our stay as we were told it was booked out, We ordered rooms service and our son also ordered room service and received his in a cardboard box. As you would know we paid $290 per night for 3 nights for 2 rooms. I expected a lot more than what I received. As a previous accor member I was bitterly disappointed. I was told by staff members there was a lack of staff and there was difficulty in getting people to work there. The lack of information was very disappointing. The rooms were dated and could use a refurbishment.

I had a good stay the bed was comfortable and I loved having a bath in peace. I had the salmon for dinner and it was delicious as was breakfast. Eventhough I don't play golf I liked sitting on the balcony watching people play. My only complaint is that the foxtel was not working so there was no movie night and the TV kept turning off by itself, but the maintenance man came right away and changed the batteries in the remote which helped but still no movies. Overall I had a goodnight and would probably stay here again at my next appointment in the area. Thank you regards Anna C.

Very dirty the carpets

The hotel is good, the pool and amenities were great but the overall service was shocking, No cleaning, no internet, no movies and no idea. I complained to staff who did not seem to care at all. I tried to call fro room service and no on could be bothered to answer the phone. I asked about movies and internet and was told the storm has caused them to be offline, Compete rubbish

Terrible service from Karen and the breakfast crew at the resort. We were told off for coming on time to our breakfast and told to sit at the bar and wait 40minutes before being served. We originally booked it for 9:30am because that was the only time they had left for breakfast. When we got to the restaurant, Karen yelled that we were late and our reservation was at 9 so she gave our table away. She then went to say its too late and we would not be served. I then said that we paid for breakfast and would like to eat with my family. She then said go sit at the at the bar and wait. This is the worst service we ever received at an Accor facility. I will not renew our Accor membership after this stay. After months of lockdown how can this terrible person welcome guests to the day after spending thousands on a break. KAREN you should be sacked....

We had not had a good day, however when we arrived at the Mercure Kooindah Waters we felt at home, we were welcomed and could not say enough for them. We had a beautiful dinner, a wonderful sleep & a great breakfast, we then booked out & continued on our way to Wollongong.

Spent a very relaxing stay at the Mercure for 4 nights. We were upgrade to a suite that had a large lounge room overlooking the golf course. Our room was comfortable and clean and along with impressive dining opportunities helped to create a great stay
