Luved Kooindah Waters. Great for the golf enthusiast. Menu needs a big tweek. No Shiraz! Food was good but no variety. And too too slow. Great staff. Not enough staff. And No shower cap. What's with that. Would like to go again. Families. Or romantics. 1 1/2 hours from Sydney. Great getaway

The checkin experience was excellent. The 2 staff members were particularly friendly and helpful. My guest room was very comfortable and well appointed. The evening meal was also very good, including the wine from a reasonable selection. So was breakfast. And the check out experience was also easy and uncomplicated.

First we were contacted to tell us that the 1 of the rooms we booked will have no hot water , and maintenance couldn’t fix it because it was a long weekend. If I didn’t insist on changing our rooms we would of been left with no hot water, ladies at the front were quiet rude to our kids, the pool was annoying having to share it with the community, they offered us roller beds because we had a mix up with our room configurations but was never told we will be charged then when we checked they charged us $40 a night per roller, luckily the manager on duty afternoon came and sorted out the bill, our kids got verbally abused by a worker for leaving the pool door open waiting on our other guest to come in as the front ran out of pool keys, overall probably the most expensive stay for us and sadly the worst. As you can see we are gold and diamond members and we only stay at Accor hotels and apartments and for the longest time have always throughly enjoyed our stays until this time, very disappointing to be honestly first and last stay for us at the Mercure Wyong.

Good for a holiday- not great for business.

The rooms are not brand new but are clean. And the water pressure is good. The food and coffee are GREAT!. But... The driveway/parking and walkways are downright confusing and dangerous if you arrive at night. Incredibly poor lighting and signage. I have stayed here at three times and every single time I lose 20 minutes trying to figure out the poorly printed map, the no signs and the lack of any direction to get to the parking lot where tour hotel room is. On top of that if the area next to your room is full and you have to park in the parking lot next to it getting from your car to the hotel room is treacherous it's not smooth it's not well it there's no walkways. you need to flashlight.

Check in was good. I was directed to my room. However, due to poor lighting outside the buildings, it is difficult to locate and read numbers. Lighting within the car park is also poor. I have previously provided feedback about this. I ordered room service for dinner. The sauce from the dessert was spilt through the bag. Wifi was not activated on arrival, needing me to call to have this activated. On checkout, I made mention of my having 2 Accor membership numbers and wanting to combine these. The response ‘you will need to talk to someone about that’. I thought I was talking to ‘someone’. Then I was dismissed.

Cleanliness was not good, spider and cockroach on the floor, so much stained on sofa and all chairs, dust on the lounge, washing machine was dirty with hairs and other stuff, dust pan was dirty and on the 2nd day hospitality staff didn't clean floor. Not recommended

Staff were excellent but the condition of the room was appalling. So run down. Curtains were stained, carpets as well, dirty walls, not a great smell either. In urgent need of a makeover. Thank goodness we didn’t need to stay in the room much. So different to our last stay 10 years ago.

We have been to Mercure Kooindah Waters Resort four times now. Every stay had been enjoyable and relaxing. This time was exceptional, may be because it was my birthday, my whole family ( 8 adults and 6 children ) had 3 days of fun, activities, food, and relaxation together in one resort. Enjoying the services of the staff and made use of most of the facilities that the resort offers. The hot cross buns were a lovely surprise. My grandchildren were offered balloons and Easter treats. How lovely. Compliment to the staffs and management that made the Easter celebration much rewarding for us.

We have stayed at better places for less. The curtain to block out the car park lights at night & the morning sun was broken & would not slide across. I reported it that night & told could not do anything till morning. Not much help as we only stayed one night & I could not sleep because of the outside lights shining in.

On arrival we checked in and headed to rooms to find out that the configuration of the rooms were not correct. A grown women and men were in a room with 2 single beds. I had personally rang the hotel numerous times to sort out getting a roll away bed for one of the rooms and on arrival this was still not sorted. Reception staff were not helpful at all. There was no remote control in the room to begin with so we went to reception to ask for remote, they then sort it out but the Air con did not work at all, during our stay it was very hot. Reception staff were rude and did not help at all.

Nice room with golf course view

Room had a lovely view of the golf course with balcony included, spacious bathroom and room is large enough for 2. There are two things that affected our stay, one was the lack of swimming pool fob which finally became available on the 2nd night of our 2 night stay. There should always be extras for guests instead of running out on these. On check out, we were charged 3% Mastercard surcharge on our dining. We run our own business and only charge 1% surcharge on visa and mastercard, 3% is way too high so this alone would discourage us staying here again. We paid enough for the rooms and dining, there just shouldn't be such a high surcharge for paying with credit card.

Good family getaway

hotel is well appointed with good facilities and open space for the kids to play. Two things to improve: access to swimming pool/gym. It requires a security badge, which was unavailable until the last day of my stay. That made me going to the reception every time, or asking the security guard to open the gate when entering and exiting. Please allow more security tokens available, specially on long weekends. The other thing is the internet, which is not reliable, tends to disconnect several times during the day. I could never make it work on my laptop (I did do it on my mobile phone).

Rooms are becoming dated and need some money put into them although our 3 rooms were still comfortable and offered everything we needed. Great setting but no fault of the premises we were there to play golf which was closed due to the rain. Staff dealings, fantastic.

I attended with the group of St Aloysius' College dads. I was impressed with the wonderfully helpful, efficient and friendly staff. They made it a pleasant stay despite the disruption of the course being closed. I was not previously aware of the resort but found it well located and with very good facilities. I look forward to returning for a stay and to play the course in the future.

We had lots of fun playing a round of golf, eating in the restaurant, and having room service. We stayed one night and liked it so much we decided to stay another night so we got to experience the different rooms. We will definitely be back!
