I have stayed many times in Mercure Rostov and I have to say that I like a lot. The situation is very convenient close to the center and the river side. The rooms are renovated and with a nice design. I could have good rest every time. The service is I will use every time I am going to Rostov.

One of the hotel female receptionist is not helpful for hotel transportation arrangements and until now still haven't receive the transportation payment receipt as per promise. Delayed my laundry delivery once. Overall not a English friendly hotel.

« Nice place in the heart of the city »

Hotel is a good compromise between quality and price, as I had the opportunity to try last year, clean and in the center. The staff always very kind and ready to fulfill the requests of customers. The "standard" room is quite spacious, well finished and without the annoying sofa or armchair that I consider useless as well as difficult to keep clean.Breakfast is of a good standard both in quality and quantity.If you have the chance, I recommend the "privilege" rooms.The only flaw could be the fact of not having parking.

« It was ok but i guess i will look for another hotel to stay next time »

The staff is very friendly and helpful , all my requests were answered immediately. The main problem that bothered me was the noise from the street outside, mainly motor bikes roaring at nights. Another issue is that the room service menu has a very limited variety of vegeterian meals. The restaurant downstairs has a better choice, and the kitchen is very good. The TV channels are very limited.

« Family trip on holiday went well »

The overall impression was positive but for a few things. Firstly, we arrived at 3 am with two kids (aged 2 and 7), the room was NOT ready. After contacting the reception everything was put in quickly but they should have been prepared considering the fact I did request the cot and foldable bed for our prestige room. Secondly, the taxi service the hotel offers is a complete rip off. Our rude from the airport was 2600 rub vs 800 rub with city taxi. Same was for my ride to the cemetery which was 1500 instead of 400 max. I'm originally from Rostov and have friends there and when I learned that our family was taken advantage of I was very frustrated of which I told the reception. Since then they booked the decently priced taxi for us. Otherwise the location is good and the staff are friendly. I felt like talking to the hotel manager about my concerns but we were too busy.
