Check in and check out was confused and upsetting. When we cehcked in we were told breakfast was not included despite having our reservation "Bed and Breakfast" clearing stating it was included. We were charged for the breakfasts at $80 rmb each. They insisted that we prepay these on arrival. At check out we were not given a receipt. We checked out at 6am and was rushed getting to the bus so we did not realize that we had not been given a receipt until we arrived at the train station. This has been stressful trying to get a accounting of how much we paid for and a detailed receipt which we still do not have.

We had a great stay at the Pullman Kaifeng. The hotel sits in beautiful grounds with lovely flower gardens and lakes and walking paths, yet is just a few minutes by taxi from traditional Kaifeng city. The hotel is peaceful and well-appointed. We were upgraded to a suite - everything detail was covered, right down to the box with a stapler, eraser and pencil sharpener on the desk. Two bathrooms, comfortable sofa and bed, huge spa tub. The staff generally were very capable and friendly - standouts were the concierge Alan, who looked after our every need, and the barman in the lobby bar, Dean, who served our afternoon tea and happy hour drinks with a quiet professionalism rarely seen in China.

The best thing about the Kaifeng Pullman was a "Welcomer" named Coco who directed me towards my room after check-in and offered to help with the hotel's evening "Discovery Tour" activity. She was very attentive and friendly and exceeded my expectations for hotel staff service. If the hotel's goal is to make guests "Feel Welcome", she above all other staff accomplished that exceptionally. The hotel is attractive and the room was aesthetic if rather small, and I had a good night's sleep after making the bed softer with an extra quilt. I was glad I could get an air purifier on request, the air quality in Kaifeng was not good that day. There were also some problems with the hotel stay. I could get an air purifier but there was no humidifier available on request even though there was a card in the room indicating that humidifiers were available, so that is some kind of mistake by the hotel. In the hall outside my room there was generally too much noise during the early evening from both cleaning staff and guests, more than usual in hotels in China. Check-out was probably the slowest I ever had, printing my receipt requested the night before required several minutes and calling a taxi took a long wait; maybe the hotel could inform guests about considerable delays to get taxis.

The long distance from front gate to lobby might make people feel more cold in the winter and the internal temperature of room was a little low.

Mostly good,but I suggest that there should be a service of shuttle bus from the gate to the hotel entrance since there is a long way to go . And if you already have this kind of service please notify the guests coz I don't get any information about that and I just walk out

The hotel was very comfortable with beautiful rooms and facilities. The breakfast and food from room service was also delicious. The best part of my stay though was the hotel staff. They made me feel very at home and were incredibly helpful with everything I needed.

First of all,we are really thankful about upgrade our room,but the staff who take us to the room,he didnt help my wife to take the suitcase in the middle of the night,and also went to the wrong room at the beginning;Second was that i tried to speak chinese when the receptionist dont understand English,but she laughed and change the phone to another receptionist;Third was my wife called to ask the hotel if we forgot shoes in the room after we check out,and we didnt get any answer after 4hrs phone call.
