After 4 days driving it was a pleasure to step out of the car and check into our Emu Walk Apartment. We really enjoyed our staying in the 1 Bedroom Apartment. It was immaculate, well appointed and had everything you could want. Full size kitchen, washer/dryer, spacious lounge/dining, large bedroom with a comfortable king size bed - excellent! Bathroom was fresh/clean and stocked with amenities for our entire stay. Thank you for making out stay memorable.

Hi jiwilko Thank you for your lovely feedback and we are delighted that you so enjoyed your stay at Emu Walk Apartments. It was certainly our pleasure to have you as a guest at Ayers Rock Resort. Kind Regards Peter White General Manager Emu Walk Apartments

There were ants in the apartment and I am not sure the cleaners were doing proper cleans each day. I did not raise it at the time but will contact the hotel now I am back home. Great location, spacious and there were 5 of us. We loved our time at Uluru and will be back.

Stayed in an apartment while visiting Yulara. Well set out, plenty of room, fresh and clean. View was not spectacular - but only a short walk to views of Uluru. Close walk to the other facilities of Yulara and obviously very well organised resort in terms of pick ups by buses, coordination of tours and so on. Given it was the school holidays, it was reasonable value for money. A slight walk from the car park.

Kristian H Family - 01/01/2017 TripAdvisor review

We stayed the day after the big rain fall where most rooms were flooded or damaged, but that is not the hotels fault. I was disappointed that after we were told we had a room available we were given our room key and went out for a walk. By the time we went to our room we found dirty dishes in the sink, used tissues on the bench, dried urine on the toilet seat and used soap bars in the bathroom, and blood on the sofa bed sheets. We went down to reception to have this sorted out but discovered the reception closed at 5pm. So we were forced to clean up the mess ourselves and call the nearby hotel for new sheets which took 2 phone calls to have the attendant to arrive. We notified Reception in the morning on checkout who advised that someone would be in contact with me to discuss further, this was now over a week ago and no one has reached out.

Hi Kristian H I am sorry to read of your housekeeping experience at Emu Walk Apartments and sincerely apologise for our error and that the room allocated to you upon arrival had not been cleaned. While we do advertise that the reception closes at 5.00pm we are pleased to offer 24 hour service available via the neighboring Desert Gardens Hotel where we would have certainly been able to organise housekeeping to attend immediately or a change of room. I do hope that you were still able to enjoy your stay with us and exploring the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Kind Regards Peter White General Manager Emu Walk Apartments

Hi2pon Family - 10/01/2016 TripAdvisor review

I stayed in a 1 bedroom facility at Emu Walk Apartment for 2 nights. Day time reception is available in the middle of the apartment building but opening hour is 8 - 17. During in the evening or early morning, we had to go to the reception at Desert Gardens Hotel in a short walk when needed. Washer and dryer, microwave and other equipments were easy to use. Fridge that still water was prepared in the container. Air conditioning was comfortable setting but my wife said it was a little noisy. There was a balcony but we did not use it because of the bothersome flies as similar comments appeared frequently. Stiffness of the bed and pillows were comfortable for good sleep. Overall impression is pretty good. One thing I have to point out that we could not open the door of our room twice. And needed to go to the reception at Desert Gardens Hotel to ask for help. At the first time, reception mgr came with us to simply open it with master key but told us nothing about the reason. Second time, receptionist came with us and told us the reason why we could not open the door. When going out the room while remain locking inside the door, door may not open with red flash and need to be opened with master key. Some people get accustomed to lock the door when in the room, it is necessary to unlock the door manually before going out. About the car rental, I drove 4wd Prado. That vehicle provided us a nice view from the high eye-point, however, all major roads to Ayers Rock or Kata Tjuta were paved and small 2wd car is enough to roam around. Note that Ayers Rock airport is open at 9 in the morning. It was enough to be there just before 9 for the morning flight to Alice Springs at 10:20.

blistful Couples - 03/11/2014 TripAdvisor review

Despite the age and the location of these apartments, the amenities provided in the complex were of a good standard and reasonably priced. Staff were very obliging and friendly. I noted major maintenance being carried out on other apartments which would indicate management is aware of the tiredness of the units.

Uluru area a great experience. Emu Walk Apartments - would never stay there again. Apartment was filthy as was the cutlery and plates. Set out of room great just poorly looked after. Staff very polite lots to do with tours available.

Hi Glen P Thank you for your feedback on your stay with us. I apologise for the cleaning standard you found in your unit and hope that we were able to promptly rectify the error. I am glad that youappreciated the friendly customer service that is our trademark and also enjoyed the wonderful tours we have on offer. Kind Regards Peter White General Manager Desert Gardens Hotel

All went well with the apartment and surrunding amenities. While the inside of the apartment was spotless, I would suggest more attention is paid to the courtyard, even though in such an environment this can prove difficult. It would have been lovely to spend more time there.

Paula B Family - 06/10/2013 TripAdvisor review

The apartment we stayed in was very basic and over priced as is all the accommodation around the resort. I would say that the room had only been wiped over and wasn't particularly clean as some old bread had been left in the freezer from a previous guess and the area around the toilet had small pieces of toilet paper left laying on the floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fortunately we didn't travel there to be impressed by the accommodation but rather by the magic of Uluru and it's surrounds, great place to visit.

Rooms average quality and could be better

Location is good and convenient with the resort town centre very handy. our family of 2A+2C enjoyed the stay but felt that the rooms could be slightly better maintained as they felt old and not renovated for quite some time. Good information available at the reception and staff was quite helpful

Dear 2836 Thank you for your review and I pleased to read of the enjoyment you and your family had exploring the local area and resort facilities. As previously noted the resort is currently going through a refurbishment program. Sails in the Desert and our conference centre were completed in the November 2012. The rest of our hotels and outlets will be enhanced over the next couple years. I am sure your comments will be addressed during these enhancements. I would like to wish you all the best on your future travels. Kind Regards Leon Pink General Manager Desert Gardens Hotel

Bel70 Friends getaway - 22/04/2013 TripAdvisor review

My trip to Yulara was amazing. The Ayers Rock Resort is like a very 'well oiled machine'. Transfers from the airport to the resort await you at the airport. When you arrive at the resort the staff all greet you with a smile and assist you with all your needs. The willingness to help by the resort staff is amazing. My friend and I chose to take our own bags to our room as there were a number of groups that the porters were looking after. Unfortunatly we got a little lost. 2 Maintainence men approached us asking if we were OK. We showed them our room key, and he advised our room was a wee walk. Next thing he was on the walkie talkie organising porters to come and collect our lugagge for us. He gave us directions to our room and offered to wait with our bags until the porters arrived. Great start to the week! On my 3rd day there I took a scenic flight and became quite 'air sick' and I believe I was dehydated as well. I went to the Visitors Information Centre and the girl asked if I was OK. We chatted and she was very helpfu and wished me a speedy recovery. I went back in the next day, not realising it was the same girl serving me and she asked if I was feeling any better. I thanked her for remembering and said yes I was on the mend. Another big tick for customer service. There's plenty to do around the resort itself pool, day spa, a few shops great dining facilities and some free activities including spear throwing lessons. Pricing is very reasonable and the food is delicious. Arnguli Grill converts from an a la carte restaurant with great share style plates including seafood and a great grill selection to a buffet breakfast in the morning with eggs and pancakes cooked to order. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. My big recommendations are the 'Sounds of Silence' dinner and 'Desert Awakenings' tour. All guides are knowledgable in the area and on aboriginal culture. Overall 10/10 for a great relaxing holiday!
