Great location and easy access to everything. Great if your are Accor member as you get 50% discount on the restaurants, but not for breakfast. You can get a discount voucher at reception for breakfast. We had one hiccup and with the assistance of Jay at Reception it was all sorted, Thankyou Jay we really appreciated that you went out of your way to help.

Enjoyable and the resort and staff were wonderful and the drivers for kings we great. The amenities were first class and food especially for breakfast were what you expect from accor resorts. It was a great experience to see how beautiful ayres rock and the olgars are and to be looked after as a world class heritage.

In general there is not a lot to choose from in this location and I chose the mid point (also not much availability) and it reflected mediocrity. Firstly this Hotel does not really acknowledge Accor Plus (Gold) member and benefits fully. No upgrade and does not accept dining benefits for Breakfast. The room is average, the breakfast menu is not up to an Accor Standard, the bistro is just Ok however the Arnguli Grill & Restaurant makes up for this the menu choice, service and food is well above average and the best place to dine Yulura. We had a few issues during our stay with the standard of the room service however on bringing it to the Managers attention it was rectified immediately and we were compensated

I do assure you that Accor Membership benefits are certainly acknowledged however it is an Accor policy that breakfast discounts are not accepted at resort properties for which Desert Gardens is considered. Room upgrades are subject to availability and during your stay the hotel was at capacity and the reason why it was not able to be offered however we certainly regret any disappointment this caused. It was our last day of the holiday before leaving Australia for England. So, we decided to visit the famous Ayers Rock. We found there was not many choices of the hotel in this area. Hotels in Alice Springs are too far from Uluru since we are going to stay only for a night. So we decided to go for Desert Garden in The National Park. We arrived the Hotel far too early from the normal check time -in at 3pm. We would like to take a chance if they allowed us to have early check-in or would let us dropped our luggages in the hotel if the room was not ready. We arrived at around 10am, I went in the Hotel Reception and speak with one of the front line staff at the counter if we could have an early check-in and understood we were far too early from their normal check-in schedule. I thought it makes sense that might be charged for it. So I asked for the charges for an early check-in soon then after, so I would prepared to pay for it.The staff started getting annoyed and said that let her checked room availability first impatiently. If she cannot check the room availability, how will she know the charges. It didn't make sense to me that the charges should pre-quoted by the Hotel, did it? Sooner she said the room was available but she was still not answering the question of the charge. At the meanwhile, she asked for my credit card and get me filled up the form. There was Car Registration number showed need to be provided, so I asked her if I get my husband come in so we can provide the Rego number. She said don't worry about it with both arms crossed on the chest. She only asked me to put the signature on the form. At the end, she gave me the keys and showed me the location of the room where was on the ground floor (Not even stay on the 2nd floor). I was a bit disappointed but it was not a big deal. So I asked her one more question right after her

In order to enjoy the best of the National Park you have to stay within the resort as most of the tours will either very early in the morning or finish later in the evening. There are only a couple of good quality hotels available in the resort and Desert Garden is one of them. One of the activity shall not be missed is the sound of silence dinner. It shall definitely be a memorable evening.

It was a unique experience. My only beef was that we had to wait over three hours for the room which I feel could have been logistically managed more efficiently given that there must be guests departing on the morning flight we came in on so not every room becomes available only at 3 pm.

Aircond in the room was not working properly made the stayed a bit uncomfortable especially during hot summer weather. The technician couldn't fix it. Being offered either to change to a different room or being provided with a standing fan. We chose a standing fan instead since we just going to stay there for one night only.

Stayed at Desert Gardens for one night had a room with a view of Uluru was very expensive but worth it sat on balcony in the afternoon amazing view again had breakfast on the balcony only complaint bed should have been on other side of the room so you could sit up in bed and enjoy the view. main reason for visit was to go to Field of Lights absolutely amazing!!!!!

We had a three night break at this hotel I was aprehenssive after reading reviews on this site. We arrived to find our room not ready we were told to go for a walk and come back in an hour this we did our room was ready at 3.45pm we were told that out luggage would be delivered in 10 mins as we had a long walk to our room, 2 hours later after two phone calls we got our luggage. The following two days we had our room cleaned a 30 second flick we had to ask reception for clean towels and tea/coffee we made our own bed, at $288 per night without breakfast I do not expect to have to ask for clean towels and make my own bed. The room was good and clean we ate in the restaurant and the food was good, the staff were friendly and eager to please,housekeeping is an area of concern they appear to be under pressure I cannot understand why management has not picked up on this. During our stay we went on three trips Sounds of silence dinner,Walk round the rock at sunrise,and a trip to the Olgas all memorable in different ways I hope this review helps.

The excuse of being remote just doesn't cut it for me... This was very expensive and some basics were missing such as our room being almost filled by TWO queen beds and yet no desk or writing area and just one chair... I didn't book a room for swinging couples and I expected to be able to sit down with my wife during the non-sleeping times - I also expected to be able to book a table at the restaurant for dinner but this 400 something hotel had about 30 tables available for dinner at any one time... It was about a 400 metre walk from the car park to our room - luckily we had no rain and our luggage has quad wheels - when we could not get a meal at Desert Gardens, we went to Sails at the other end of the Yulara resort complex and paid $70 each for the buffet and about $45 extra each for special dishes. A French couple sitting next to us remarked how expensive Ayers Rock was - and we all know what prices are like in France... Value for money??? - No. For a resort that is about 15kms away from the attraction and probably not many rooms with a view of it, we would not return

The demand for twin beds is very high at Desert Gardens and as a result most rooms are configured in this way however I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you and that the balcony furniture was not adequate for your requirements. We are very pleased to offer porters to assist with luggage and again I do apologise if you were not aware of this service. We do regret that Arnguli Grill was fully booked upon your request due to our high occupancy however we would like to re-assure you that we also offer an additional all day dining option at the Bunya Bar along with a range of restaurants and cafes throughout the resort. Providing a good value experience is of the highest priority to us and while unfortunately freight costs are indeed high to our remote locations we are truly disappointed that we were unable to meet your expectation. Nicely renovated room. Could do with a little space/desk to be able to do some work. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, and good to see staffs are from different background to cater for all the tourists that stay there. A lot of the exterior lights not working and bulbs need replacing. Pretty dark in some part when getting to room at night. Booked a table for 6 for dinner at the restaurant, and when we turned up, staff informed me there were no booking and to wait at the bar till they have a table. Went back after 25 minutes to see what's happening and informed another staff at the desk the situation. She found the booking and we were seated within 5 minutes. Maybe staff need to be a bit more attentive/thorough when checking bookings/availability. Had issues with TV reception. Rang reception and was informed it was the weather. It was still the same the next day. Got the maintenance guy and they found the cause. It wasn't the weather!!! One of the glass had a chip and crack and was placed back in the room after the room has been cleaned. Found dried insects in the room, which I expect being in the desert, and left it on the carpet where it can be vacuumed. It was still there when we got back that night. Maybe a bit more attention to details doesn't go astray. Perhaps staff training needs updating? The shuttle bus between hotels is very handy and convenient. Overall, a good place to stay.

Desert Gardens Hotel is located at the heart of the desert. Therefore, it is very convenient to reach Uluru and sacred places. It was a nice experience for all of us. We enjoyed the sun set and the rise of the sun.

Check in was fast and efficient with unswerving smiles to every strange question that was fired at the staff. Once I got to the head of the cue I was booked in and directed to my room very quickly. I got hopelessly lost but through no fault of anyone except myself. Its a large, sprawled out motel. My room overlooked the rock. The building itself looked a bit tired but it is exposed to some extreme weather. Everything worked in the room and aircon coped well. The bed was great. Breakfast was typical accor fare and was good for the price. The gardens were nice to walk around and the pool looked inviting. There was plenty of parking. Check out was fast and friendly. Recommended.

Accor seems to run all the properties around the ayers rock resort. So they charge whatever they want. Room was average but and pricey but you really don't have a chose. Breakfast and dinner was Also very pricey and the transport that was offered to get to ayres rock.

Well, much like Disneyland a rock in the outback is reason enough to extort money from its guests. I will say that the final given room was nice,although thank god as a Gold member I got the mountain view upgrade free rather then paying for what was view of one third of Ayers. Staff are surely nice and accommodating but light years away from handling Accor premium guests, not knowing at all the privileges bestoved. Anyways, regular 4 star standard to Tokyo prices, breakfast is 38 lovely Dollys a head, which makes even Sofitel in Sydney fall behind on its 32$. As the whole resort evolves around a highly elaborate monopoly of Voyages resort there is zilch you can do about it....even the employees are too scared to mention it. Then there is the wondrous question why oh why do we have a pool that is not heated? There are two pools at the whole site, why make one heated and the other ice cold? It should come as no surprise that temperature every night drops to zero so water gets chilling. So let ALL the guests walk from one hotel, a mile to another to jump in that pool and then walk back again. I will say though, how expensive the Sounds of silence dinner now was, it was a lovely treat and well worth the visit. Just kill the monopoly of Voyages and let the free market have its go like in the rest of the world and I am sure it would benefit tourism.

Ayers Rock Resort is owned by the Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) and the purpose of the ILC is to deliver social, cultural, environmental and economic benefits to Indigenous people in Australia. As a result at Ayers Rock Resort we have developed the National Indigenous Training Academy in order to build and sustain an Indigenous workforce through training and employment. Unfortunately the operational costs of supply chain transport to a remote resort like ours are significantly higher than those of hotels based in or near major cities. However, operating as one resort, we are able to achieve economies of scale that would be unlikely to be achieved if the hotels operated independently. Please accept our apologies for the lack of knowledge regarding your Accor benefits. I agree that this is not the service you should expect as a Gold Member and it has certainly been raised as an area of improvement for the future. There's not too many hotel options in the area, just the ones of Accor complex, and the prices are almost the same. The hotel is cozy and the place very beautiful, but nothing the justify this expensive rate.

We enjoyed our comfortable room and courtyard with it's nice view to the pool area. The staff were always polite and helpful and we especially enjoyed our dining experience. The food and service by Florian was excellent.

The rooms were spacious, clean and roomy. The bathroom was well provisioned. We had a good view of Uluru. The food was good and well priced with our Advantage Plus card. The staff were polite and helpful and the link between the hotel staff and the tours was well co-ordinated. The Sounds of Silence dinner was well organised and fun.

Team We absolutely loved our stay. Friendly staff great location. Some suggestions add a guest compendium to the room on the facilities available for guest. On our last night we discovered a laundry and ice machine by accident. These are fantastic services so don't forget to tell guests how and where they can be accessed Just a small opinion on the room. Make sure the verandas are swept clean
