Room temperature is higher than lobby and lift. Every time i need to request a fan even on the winter. I have been telling and complain to the hotel management. Nothing have been done. Breakfast is getting worst. Now a day the items get less and less. Every time and every day are the same foods, over the year.

This is our first stay in this Hotel. Our experience on Grand Mercure has been always positive. But this hotel is really poor. Very small room not clean 100%. Breakfast similar to One star Ostel with dirty coffee machine, only chinese cold food. We had the bad chance to have also a dinner and it was noisy, dirty, cold and horrible taste. I cannot describe the servce which is in line with other features. Englis language is absolutely not applied to any level of people. NEVER AGIAN!

Grand Mercure Hotel Humen is a nice hotel to stay whenever you find yourself in Humen. The staff are nice and courteous, not to mention very efficient in their work. The hotel itself is nice also. The room I stayed in was ezquisite.

Price is great, but air conditioning of hotel was not enough, ending up request for an electric fan. This hotel is very different than the usual Accor Property and not feeling treated special as an Accor member

Room is spacious and clean with street view. Staff is polite and helpful. the hotel is conveniently located.The bus for Keyuan Garden and Opium War Museum stops right outside the hotel. Travellers can easily find restaurants nearby.

Clean and great service with excellent restaurant... Location near shopping areas. AC in room worked perfectly. Very friendly staff, helpfull smiling and ready to guide you directions when needed. Great stay!

A HOTEL WITH NO AIRCON

I have been staying with this hotel for the past 7 years solely due to its very good location. The operation of the hotel is getting worse each time I visited them. This time round, there is no aircon at all. And the staffs chose to ignore the situation! Never will I ever stay with you again. ain.

Noisy Sound

The drainage system in the toilet has from time to time some noisy sound and does not stop until water is released from the tap for some time e.g. 30 seconds to 1 minute. I waked up three times because of the sound in the first night. Even after complaint and change of room, I waked up again two times because of the sound in the second night. This problem persists for a long time as this problem also happened many times during my previous visits of the hotel. I think the hotel management should not allow such a problem to persist (more than one year).

Good service and good location. Breakfast variety. Transport facilitation. Surronding dining and entertainment facilitation. The rooms are spacious, and there are good toiletries. The staff at the reception are warm.

Coming to Dongguan now is rainy season, and it is great to find that the hotel has provide the umbrella in the room. The umbrella really help in the rainy weather. Sometimes, it is not the grandeur of the hotel that count, it is the little attention to details that make the hotel warmth.

Disappointing stay in Humen

Stayed at the executive room of this hotel on the 13th and 14th March and was overall disappointed with the stay. 1. Requested for welcome drink and desserts but was told that there was none. Upon checking into room, found out from a notice that guests are actually entitled to all this benefits. 2. The toilet bowl managed to get choked twice during my stay which was unthinkable. 3. Each time I made a report at the front desk over the above issues, the staffs were pretty nonchalant over it and I could not detect that they were interested to help me with those issues. The only bright spark was the lady at the business centre who helped me book ferry tickets to Hong Kong. She was also able to recommend places of interest and even sent me messages on how to reach those places. Thumbs up here.

Everything about this hotel is pretty good except for the air con. This problem has been around for years but they never want to do something to it. The air con controller inside the room is a dummy, no way you can adjust it which the hotel has pre-set the temperature at 25 degree celcius!!!

Communication was difficult here. The few persons who spoke English spoke it well, but I had problems just getting my laundry picked up - - not what I'd expect from an international hotel facility. And seriously: No clock in the room?!? Beautiful renovation - wish there was a fitness center.

Hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Humen if you're going on a business trip. Rooms are good size and clean. Amenities all there. Breakfast is somewhat meager but sufficient. There's only a lobbybar and personnel needs to be motivated to acquire drinks. Language skills are overall not the best and you need to specifically ask for someone that is able to understand and reply in good English (they are there). Club is closed (due to S fence probably) and no executive lounge available. Regular massage is an option on the hotel premises. Recognition of accor status is not automatic, you need to urge. Price/quality is ok, given the rates we paid for executive rooms. All in all only worth the visit for a short stay (not much to do) and when the location is convenient (which in our case it was). If specific location isd not required, but you need to stay in the vicinity, I would advise to go to the Pullman, also in Dongguan.

Good value for money

Not too bad hotel for the price you pay. Location is not too bad which is near to the Humen port (easy access to Hongkong, Zhuhai, Shenzhen) and also the Humen bullet train station. Staff was however not very trained in handling guest especially if you are not able to converse in chinese. Though they have english speaking manager, they would only be available on certain time of the day. Food is easily available with restaurants nearby within 5 minutes walking distances. Would recommend this property for those who wants value for money.

Very nice and cozy hotel. Staffs are very friendly and well trained. But the temperature in the guest room really kills! Has been like this for years. Never want to rectify this problem regardless the numerous complaints from many guests.

Front desk staff were unprofessional and complete lack of knowledge about Le Club member benefits. No smile no greeting. Staff welcoming at the entrance are sincere and polite. Rooms and corridor are nicely decorated.
