Massively overpriced compared to my colleagues who also stayed. £160 to their £90. Room was ok, but aircon not working. Breakfast was awful, powdered egg is disgusting and bacon was like cardboard. Luckily it was for business, but certainly wont stay there again

We stayed for a weekend in the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and felt comfortable. It was very good to have the television easy to use. Following the example of removing the landline phones from the room (as they are such a 90's 'thing'- good touch!) it would have been good this principle being extended to the television and having access to Netflix or Amazon prime or equivalent. Shower was very good, very clean and powerful and really liked the fact of having the shower gel integrated. I guess as a 'plus' it would have been good to have some toiletries (we failed to carry toothpaste) but I can see how this is a more budget type of stay and I feel that the 'basics' were covered.

No Heating

We did not have heating, portable heater was provided but after paying close to £180 pn i do not expect to be using a portable heater, i did receive a discount for my stay, however i can only be honest and advise that this did affect my stay.

Lack of hot water

We have stayed here before and usually find it a good hotel. Unfortunately on this occasion there was insufficient hot water for a shower mid to late morning on both Saturday and Sunday. I did report this to reception on Saturday and there was hot water on Saturday evening but was insufficient again on Sunday morning.

The reception and ground floor reception room is quiet cold and clinical. However the staff were excellent friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and though compact had a good layout and everything you need. Bottle of water nice touch. I could not get the air-conditioning to work and the room was cold. Maintenance provided me with a plug in heater which warmed the room nicely. Towels were thin and small and if I had paid more for the room I would have said they were too basic. Breakfast was fine, you could tell it was budget but there was a good selection. Initially I wanted to check out as I would usually book a higher category of hotel, but for the price and convenience and friendly staff I would return. This is my first IBIS hotel stay and it was fine for business one night.

Good location, shame about the quality of the accommodation. Reception check in excellent! Rooms need a good makeover! Hoover under the bed. Sort out the plugs and make sure there are at least 2 that work. Add a mirror to the dressing table area, and also lie in the bed and adjust the angle of the TV.... Guests should be offered comfortable accommodation, not adequate accommodation!

hotel was clean and tidy, lovely breakfast and perfect access to the excel for the event. only downside was the fact i was placed in a room next to rooms being renovated which woke up most mornings very early. would stay again for access but maybe ask to placed in a room away from building work. pub attached also has lovely food, do recommend
