« Great location fabulous room »

On arrival surprised to find we had been upgraded to a suite with rooftop jacuzzi and BBQ which was excellent. Good location near beach and town. Breakfast had a good choice. Poolside bar was good and enjoyed the happy hour. Only negative comment was restaurant. We thought the choice was very limited and a little too specialised/exotic in terms of sides with the main dish. Nothing wrong having normal vegetables.

« Don't think we will be back, ever. »

The menu was very limited, especially after hours. The bed destroyed my body, I hope to never sleep in such a bed again. I'm still recovering from that bed. If the room wasn't 100% tiles, I would of attempted sleeping on the floor instead. There were ants everywhere, everyday. The floor was constantly dirty, even before we entered. The room was really small but I understand we got a good price so I can't complain too much on that front. The do not disturb notice on the handle apparently means nothing with cleaners knocking on the door regardless. So many pillows that we didn't know what to do with them. No power points next to the bed, we resorted to using bathroom power points for utility. There was no cutlery, no eating equipment apart from what was given with room service meals. Getting in and out of the shower felt dangerous. No matter how the shower glass panel was aligned, water would always make its way onto the bathroom floor in quantity. False fire alarm at 1am, was very confusing and worrying. Quite a few of us waited in the foyer for about half an hour before getting the all clear to return to bed. The fan was making a clicking noise with each rotation, driving my wife insane. Too hot to turn it off. The good: 3 positives. Staff were very friendly. The pool was nice. And lastly, the ability to walk straight out onto the beach was nice. That's it. On the last night laying in bed, I was laughing myself stupid thinking that the place is considered a 5 star hotel. My wife thought I was a lunatic as I cried in laughter.

« Our stay was way to short »

After the trip from hell it was a welcome surprise to arrive at Your hotel. We were greeted with a lovely refreshing beverage, served by Max After settling in headed to the bar where Ben served delicious cocktails then onto dinner where George was very efficient and looked after all our requests. This was just the first day and then the next day was much the same. We had an inspiring conversation with young Andrew whom was just starting. All in all our experience was wonderful

« Fantastic »

We had a lovely time at the hotel, we will definitely be coming back. Rooms were really good and the service was excellent. The pool area was lovely and the food and drinks were very good. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and there was a bottle of champagne and a lovely card waiting for us when we arrived. The only negative we had for our stay was that a couple of nights we were kept awake by some noisy neighbours but I rang reception and they rectified the situation.

« Not a five star hotel »

The staff were without fault however, the hotel is not of the standard of a five star hotel. The breakfast buffet offered was adequate, again, not on a five star standard. The room we stayed in, a standard room, was on the ground floor. There was leaking between the shower cubicle and toilet cubicle, there was an ant issue on the balcony making it unusable, there was rust on the wardrobe baskets. Overall, this felt like an aparthotel of a max 4 star standard and does not live up to it's billing. The only redeeming feature was the lovely staff.

« great venue, great staff (except one) »

on arrival we met one of the most awesome staff members at reception (Natalie). She spent time explaining the resort features and discussing our benefits with our accor plus / silver membership. Explaining that we were there not only for a holiday, but to see our son who is in the Navy based in Cairns , She did everything possible to make our reunion a very memorable occasion. All the staff were fantastic, and nothing was a problem for them. from the bar staff, to housekeeping to the dining staff and even the grounds staff all were proud of their workplace and enjoyed a chat. if i was to give feedback on the first 3 days, the rating would be 10/10, however on the 4th day, we were greeted by a new catering supervisor at breakfast, he was very arrogant, and at one point talked down to my wife as though she shouldn't be there, She asked if she could get some poached eggs, which she had done previous days, and was told "Madam we only take orders from your table". later on he berated a staff member right near me (who has shown great customer service the past few days). the next day without going into too much detail he continued with his arrogance. to the point i refused to eat there the next morning (even though i paid for the meal, my wife still went there for breakfast, i chose to go elsewhere for breakfast)
