The AGNSW brought me to Sydney and I'm sure they would be disappointment to know the room you gave their client - had no privacy - next to the elevator - people could look straight into the room onto the bed - would be great to let your visitors know that is the case when they are given the door key- arriving from the airport tried got half undressed to lay on the bed - to wake up and find people looking at me - I sure the room had a great view - but I didn't feel security enough to draw the curtains to look at it -

Lovely staff and large comfortable room with an amazing view

Hi, As an Accor Platinum member, I am use to staying in a certain standard of room. Normal procedure is, I book a room type and 95% of the time I am granted a room upgrade. I totally understand that you were heavily booked but the first room I checked in to was simply not good enough. It had a revolting smell, like that of a basket full of dirty rugby socks and a stale mouldy smell. I called reception immediately and said I needed to change rooms. I said it was because of being on the 19th floor instead of telling the truth about the smell in the room. The girl at reception came up immediately and took me down to room 909. Apparently it was the only room available...hmmm. I figured I didn't have much choice in the matter. Definitely a down grade!! No Nespresso machine, sub standard bathroom etc. I was also aware of the conference crew who were present, and yes I am well familiar with corporate events and getaways.. I am figuring that a lot of the conference members were on level 9.. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are amazing. Full credit to you there. Your rooms however... I travel to Sydney at lest once or twice a month for a few nights each stay. My usual place where I stay is the Swissotel in the executive suites.. I unfortunately, fell to covid during my last stay at the end of March and was locked up for 7 days. After the complete lack of assistance from the hotel, I vowed I would never stay there again. The rooms however, are stunning, which was a blessing during my 7 day lockdown. The new and inexperienced staff at the Swissotel weren't familiar with the protocol of lockdown. It was kinda laughable. Just some feedback for you. Helene

Booked room 2/52 in advance, requesting walk in shower as have mobility issues, Room offered with Hyde Park view etc confirmed 1/52 later was offered a $16 pn upgrade, accepted and confirmed with walk in shower Previous to arrival was offered online checkin...accepted and completed with ETA 2.30pm Arrived 2.20pm, advised room not ready despite online check in assurances, was told the difficulty was with the shower request made 2/52 earlier! A Disabled room was never offered. Finally taken to room at 4pm!! A basic room, no upgrade, no Hyde Park view, no coffee machine, very tired coffee sachets, nothing as ordered and confirmed, but did have walk in shower. Was not happy. Staff member Benjamin, was embarrassed and brought me a coffee machine, water and a wine as compensation was extremely helpful always. On checkout was verbally advised of account amount, sounded excessive, requested a print out invoice, found I had been charged for the extra upgrade when I was actually given a room 2 levels lower. Took many minutes of discussion with staff to validate my claim of overcharging and finally the extras I did not receive were removed from invoice...from memory, a sum of $200+. I have been an Accor member for over 15 years and because of personal circumstances and Covid have not been able to use the membership as often as I would like...after this experience I am wondering if there is any benefit to my membership at all. Struck me as being very unprofessional.

Great new rooms, more staff and better training needed

I really enjoyed the new rooms on L33 and the ACCOR Gold welcome packs for all our rooms booked. That said, and making COVID staff availability allowances, there is an obvious lack of adequately trained staff and the reception desks on each level (main reception and restaurants) are very shabby and not up the standards of the new rooms. I get that lack of staff means room servicing pushed out to every 2 days...but not lack of follow through when I asked for milk to be replenished and it wasnt, asked for the room to be checked for something I had left behind while I was still in Melbourne and was told my massage gun wasnt in the room only to be informed after I had left Melbourne - well actually it was found. I asked for it to be sent and was told someone would contact me shortly to sort it out, 2 days later Im still waiting to hear from anyone. These are small things but also important.

The hotel looks tired and common areas need refreshing, carpets are dirty and rippled. Why only instant coffee (no coffee machine) no bottled water, no mini bar. No breakfast until 7:30am, can’t even get a coffee!! External foyer dirty and scattered with dirty. Pullman this was 3 star experience. Very disappointed.

The hotel needs some work, it feels tired and could do with a coat of paint. Was not up to the Pullman name.

I stay in many Accor hotels and this is probably one of the oldest. Some positives- location, very handy for me as a business traveller to be located close to public transport around the inner city. King room was large, comfortable bed, but very tired looking. Dinner was good, not alot to choose from but was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast also good, good view out over Hyde Park. Staff friendly, not to the same standard I have experienced elsewhere but no complaints. Hotel definately needs a renovation- peeling paint outside the lifts, rooms etc. not a good look. I would stay here again

The staff at the Pullman Sydney Hyde Park were so polite and helpful. Very impressive. The room was spacious and even the pillows were comfortable. We'll be back.

Toilets could do with refresh. Did not experience the promises of an Accor Gold member.

Have stayed in this hotel in 2005 when it was the Marriott and the toilets are the same. The w/c in my room (2014) was dripping/running water constantly. As a Gold member, I did not feel that my membership privilleges were furnished fully.

After being displaced during our first night in Sydney due to a "police incident" at our existing hotel, we had to make the last minute decision to find alternate accommodation close by at 12am without our belongings. The staff at the Pullman were very empathetic and considerate, going out of their way to find us a room for the night, even getting extra ammenities for us since we didn't have our belongings, including phone chargers. The room was very spacious and very clean, with the bedding and provided ammenities being fantastic. Bathroom was also nice; very large and clean. We were so impressed with the service and experience that we cancelled our remaining hotel booking and rebooked at the Pullman for another night. Staff were so polite and nice, even going out of their way to help and ensure our stay in Sydney was improved. Will definitely recommend this property to others staying in Sydney!
