The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in! The one bed suite was spacious, comfortable, well laid out and had everything we needed. In true 2020 style, for a short time we were concerned we may be subject to hotel quarantine and to be honest I couldn't think of a better place to be!

The Sebel is located in a great location walking distance to the mall and a variety of restaurants. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Never stayed in a Sebel before quit impressed with the quality.
Very nice hotel - but not if you expect special platinum benefits

First of all let me say that the staff and service were generally very good. The room was very good - my family liked it and were happy with most aspects. The breakfast provided was very good and staff friendly and helpful. Having said that personally I would not stay here again if I came to Launceston as long as I am a Platinum member of accor - I prefer to stay at Peppers which is also an accor hotel. This hotel does not make me feel valued as a Platinum member of accor. I have stayed at accor hotels around the world - and have stayed hundreds of nights in accor hotels. Here are a few reasons of what was lacking in service provided to platinum members: 1. When I entered the room there was a tiny blueberry tart which was their idea of a welcome gift - in comparison Peppers provided a bottle of Pinot Noir and a card welcoming me - the $ value of the gift is immaterial - what's important is how this makes you feel? I felt like that they didn't particularly care if you are a platinum member. Mantra on Colins hotel in Hobart also provided a similar gift and card. Other accor hotels provide similar welcomes. 2. The welcome drinks provided I was told were exactly the same for classic or silver or gold or platinum members. This was not the case at Peppers and also other accor hotels have special drinks for Platinum members. 3. We were charged a parking fee of $8 for parking fees - similar fee of $10 was waived by Peppers for platinum members. When we paid approx $1500 for 3 nights at the hotel another $24 does not matter monetarily but its the feeling of not being valued... Great location and good sized rooms, the convenience of full laundry facilities as well as bathroom & kitchen was fabulous! Cleaning could certainly be improved bathroom tiles had a lot of dust built up (would be an easy fix with staff dusting the edge of floor tiles) and bedding had a rip and stains, not the level of cleanliness expected for a 4star hotel.
