I continue to stay at Sebel despite construction because of location and service but the room service is just sooo inconsistent. I try to be simple and easy and admit I struggle to understand why it is so hard to get sourdough toast, enough butter to cover it, and raspberry jam to avoid my strawberry allergy. This simple daily request that is the same every single time just frustrates me

Everything was good except for the surprise closure of the restaurant on a Sunday evening. could not use my drink vouchers that night, tried again in the morning only to be told no alcohol until after 10.30; so we missed out. But the upgrade was nice and we did receive an acceptable amenity.

Staff are always welcoming which makes this feel like home. Even though Covid has caused a disturbance to us all, it was a pleasure to stay at the Sebel again. It had been nearly a year since our last stay and two of your staff actually remembered me and also why I stayed at the Sebel. It shows how dedicated your staff are to ensuring our stay is perfect every time.

Appreciation of this hotel was limited by having no milk in the fridge, no shower jell, and a charge for using the hotel's internet.

This is one of our favourite hotels. It's a great location, central to everything we need. The staff are always really friendly and, being gold members, we always get a fantastic upgrade to a one bedroom apartment with a balcony, which we absolutely love! It's really spacious and so much better than just an average hotel room. Croft House always serves delicious food. Will continue to visit when we can. The only disappointing part of the room this time was the extremely limited mini bar! Very poor selection.

The location is great, and hotel staff is friendly. The apartments are average quality. The restaurant food and the customer service is the worst in the Brisbane CBD (consistently poor for two times in two different stays).

This stay started and was encapsulated with me arriving at reception and they being not aware of my seven day booking … because ‘I’ had booked the wrong year. To cut a long story short I had used Accor points / cash for this stay on an otherwise non-refundable booking, yet with the very appreciated input of Peter and Jarrod and the reservation manager they worked through these problems impeccably. Not only securing me a room straight away but also working through and finalising the return of 32,000 Accor points, where an initial phone call to the support care team suggested this may not be the case. By comparison and for the benefit of Gold members and higher of the Accor All rewards program; after leaving the Sebel I stayed at another Accor branded hotel and found it simply amazing as a Diamond member not to receive an upgrade, a welcome card, a small plate - gift or chocolate, not even a bottle of water in the room. (I will be reviewing this property appropriately and widely for that and other reasons which compounded this negative sentiment and memory, and will not frequent this property again). So for reasons of inconsistencies of benefit and appreciation through different status levels within the program, as we know, some Accor branded properties do not recognise status and loyalty anywhere near as well as the Sebel Brisbane. This property has a fantastic location in Brisbane, is very well serviced with most of the amenities you would expect from an inner-city hotel, and the option of enjoying your breakfast in the restaurant even after midday is a wonderful initiative. I can thoroughly recommend the Sebel Brisbane, and it’s management and staff.

Bumpy start but after a three day stay, redemption of reputation

Was disappointed on the unfriendly and inefficient check in after being a Platinum Member and having accessed the Sebel on many occasions. Spent a considerable amount of money at the Restaurant and bar, including 3 nights parking. Had to request toiletries from reception. Requested coffee, was given coffee pods, however the unit did not have a coffee machine to brew some coffee. More experienced and friendly staff member managed the check out, it was far more pleasant than on arrival.

Thank you for sharing your experience with your fellow travelers. We are disappointed to read of the negative start to your stay, however delighted that it was somewhat redeemed before check out.
