We had to cancel our booking and did not end up staying as we had to leave the country 3 days prior to our planned stay due to countries locking down with the Covid19. I sent an email to the hotel/company requesting assistance as to whether we could have a refund or hotel credit due to the unforeseen circumstances - as we booked this accommodation back in october 2019 - before any cover 19. No one has responded to my email which is very dissatisfying.

I had my door left open for two days in a row. I assumed it didn't shut properly after cleaners and nothing was stolen but I contacted reception after the second time as I felt this wasn't good enough. It didn't happen again after that.

To the General manager, i recently stayed at you at the Mercure King George Square with my partner. Whilst in the room we noted a lack of cleaning had been done - VERY dusty air con vent/dust on all surfaces - this was a minor issue as understand the start of the Covid-19 outbreak could have affected staffing levels. Main point of issue was actually our last night stay, whilst check out was 10am we were awoken early (between 7-8am) due to Drilling and baning in the hallways - upon inspection of opening our door it seems EVERY room on the floow had doors open with Beds being dismantled and replaced with the hallways blocked with multiple mattresses - explaining the noise issue. ( fire doors blocked with little egress available for emergency !) Just prior to leaving my partner and i had a shower to refresh for the days travel ahead, whilst my partner had just existed the bathroom in a small towel the door received a knock with no verbal issuance ( housekeeping.maintenance/etc) within 5 seconds of the knock i head the door security be clicked and headed to the door audibly shouting "hey" "stop" only to see the door swing wide open to me having my virtually naked partner being with a builder saying "sorry though room was empty" and me promptly shutting door close to his face - disturbed would be an understanding - i have NEVER had a intrusion into a hotel room without a protracted knocking or even a room call to check. Not happy i called reception to request to speak with a manger availing the issue - i was informed they were in a meeting and would call back - this happening within minutes as i assumed the situation was deemed a priority of having room access disturbed. i was offered to have a meeting in the room but as we were virtually packed and it being close to 10am i stated i would prefer to meet at reception on checkout. Upon approach to the reception area a male employee made himself known as a Mr Daniel Lewis - Hotel Manager - Mr Lewis listed to my dissatisfaction with having a builder enter our paid for room unannounced only to be informed " that he had not directly spoken with the builder but understands that he did not see anything" this had my partner VERY upset that not only was he not apologetic the fact others had been speaking about a near naked woman with in the hotel - she feels violated - after asking what is to done i received a apology that the room was entered into - No response re building works underway whilst paying for a room and any real concern - just another corporate traveler i guess.... i work in hospitality and found the whole experience offensive to CUSTOMER SERVICE - im not looking for anything but wish to highlight this occurrence so that a better process can be defined for future guest - if you get any... Only stayed two nights but really enjoyed the experience. Very welcoming reception staff. Full explanation of breakfast facilities. Beautiful room on the 13th floor. Black out curtains that really worked. Comfortable bed. Bathroom very clean. Good luggage storage facilities. All staff were helpful and extremely friendly

My wife and I enjoyed 2 nights with you. We found the staff, especially in the Coffee shop and restaurant, really friendly and helpful. Also, the room attendants seemed happy and friendly too, so hats off to them and the hotel. I can't really think of anything negative to say. My wife and I always enjoy a cup of tea in the morning with a biscuit, so we do miss the little packs of biscuits that used to be in hotel rooms.

The bathroom was good as I don't like bath tubs with showers in them, as I am getting on in age. The bed was comfortable and the welcome drink was very welcome and enjoyed.
